comfort, efficiency and durability: Mitsubishi Electric offers you a distinctive advantage.

We call it MEQ — Mitsubishi Electric Quality. And it's a new benchmark that results

in leading edge products, such as air conditioners that consume minimal power and

protect your investment with a long operational lifespan. You can also enjoy superb

reliability, as they’re built to endure the punishment of extreme weather conditions

year in and year out.

We strive for a perfect bal-ance of performance, reliability, lowpower consumption and long opera-tional life span. This is complement-ed by continuous introduction of newtechnologies and components thatfurther reduce energy requirementsand improve eco-friendliness.

Efficiency

Rugged Construction, RigorousTesting, Long-lasting OperationMEQ is behind a mindset that goes toextremes to ensure higher qualityproducts that protect the initialinvestment over years of reliable ser-vice. We subject our indoor and outdoor units to rigorous durabilitytesting, including harsher tempera-ture extremes than likely found anywhere in the world.

Design uniformity improves installation flexibilityFrom the smallest 3HP unit to the largest 6HP model, the new high-power ceiling cassettes offer a uniformly square 950 x 950mm widthand depth design. Thanks to the uniformity of the panel size, planningfor unit positioning in any room is enhanced and the installation of dif-ferent capacity models within the same floor space is made possible.

Unit height of only 258mm [PLH-3]The new high-power ceiling cassette models boast slim body height for smooth and aesthetic installation even in limited ceiling plenum applications.

Automatic vane shutterWhen the air conditioner is not operat-ing, the vane shutter* closes automati-cally to conceal the air outlet and create an aesthetically appealing flatsurface.* This feature will not activate when the vane is set atfixed position.

Wide-flow air outletThe new high-power ceiling cassettes offer a wide-flow air outlet that enables effective air con-ditioning of atrium-type ceilings upto 4.2 meters in height. The demands of high-ceiling applications suchas halls, showrooms orshopping malls can nowbe fully answered thanks to this powerful yet highlyefficient airflow.

Auto-flap shutterWhen the unit is turned off, the shutter closes automatically over the air outlet to enhance the stylishdesign. The shutter also functions as a flap to adjust airflow angle toensure that comforting air reaches every corner of the room.

Enhanced noise suppressionLow-noise operation has beenachieved through the introductionof a “near-silent” fan and adesign which minimises airflowresistance.

Multi-directional pipingTo reduce installation time, drain piping can be connected from leftand right. Refrigerant piping can also be connected from the rear, left, right and base of the unit.

Easy removable filterConvenient thumbscrews on the filters enable the filters to be quickly removed foreasier cleaning.

Back plate installation guideTo save time and effort, the back plate installation guide provides clearinstructions on installation positions. The enlarged back plate securesthe unit firmly to the wall, while the support piece which lifts the unitmakes the left-side piping work much easier.

Drain lift-up mechanism (optional)For greater installation flexibility, the drain water pipe lift-up mecha-nism has been raised 800mm from the base of the unit.

Extra slim, extra stylishSleek and slim with stylishly curved lines, the PCH-GAK Series blendsright into any interior. It also features a single air outlet with an autovane that closes like a shutter when the unit is turned off to enhanceoverall appearance.

Innovative auto vane systemThe auto vane system swings up and downautomatically to distribute air more evenlythroughout the room.

Quiet and comfortable Smoother airflow, an improved air vent design, and a slimmer fan combine to provide exceptionally quiet operation — a mere 43dB onhigh and 37dB on low (PCH-3GAK).

New direct suspension systemFor easier installation, the PCH-GAK Series features a new direct sus-pension system that makes it unnecessary to remove nuts and boltsfrom the main body. A one-touch suspension system is also available.

Piping flexibility simplifies installationAll piping, including those related to drainage, can be connected fromthe right, rear and top of the unit. This provides greater flexibility inselecting piping layout and installation locations.

Flockless vanesWith the adoption of new flockless vanes, dirt and other impurities canbe cleaned off easily with mild household detergent.

Fan phase control plus microprocessor control allowairflow settings to match ceiling height.

Drain water lift-up mechanism can be pre-installed(optional).

Limitless installation possibilitiesOffering all the benefits of split-type models plus other importantadvantages, the PEH-EAK Series is not only easy to install but also veryversatile. For example, the distance between the air-intake and air-out-let vents can be varied to allow airflow to be positioned in the opti-mum location.

Computerized dehumidification The computerized dehumidifier mode — where fan speed is controlledprecisely — increases dehumidification volume while improving dehu-midifying efficiency.

■ When used in rooms with high ceilings, it is recommended that a ceiling fan orcirculator be installed to improve air circulation and temperature variations withinthe room.

■ The remote-control circuits under microprocessor control remain on at all times whether the air conditioner is or is not in operation. For more economicaloperation, it is recommended that the main power switch be turned off when theair conditioner(s) is not used for long periods.

■ Avoid using air conditioning units in areas where they are exposed to oil or oilysmoke (cooking areas or machine shops). Oil which adheres to the heat exchangers will cause reduced efficiency, generate mist and may damage plasticcomponents.

■ Avoid exposure to high-frequency waves as this may cause the microprocessorto malfunction.

■ Rated noise levels were derived from tests in an anechoic test room. Noise levels may therefore be greater depending on the surroundings, application,and/or manner of installation.

■ Avoid using air conditioners in rooms with high humidity because excessivecondensation will occur as the air cools.

■ To avoid fire hazards, do not use air conditioners in areas where inflammablegases are present.

■ Odours for buildings, cosmetics, perspiration, cigarette smoke, etc., may accumulate in the heat exchanger and emanate from the air conditioner. This isnot indicative of mechanical trouble.
