COMPUTING, UK IT TEAMS ARE TAKING A STAGED APPROACH
WITH MIGRATION
NaviSite Europe Limited, a Time Warner Cable company, announced the results of a recent survey which found that whilst most UK businesses recognise the benefits of cloud computing, they are still running a significant amount of systems in-house or externally on traditional platforms.
The survey of more than 250 UK and US IT professionals aimed to understand:
• Cloud computing adoption levels
• What companies look for in a cloud service provider
• Drivers and concerns over migrating to a cloud based infrastructure

• 43% replied that securely managing data available to remote and/or temporary workers is the biggest consideration when evaluating mobility solutions
• 68% of UK businesses surveyed still do not have a BYOD policy, with nearly half of the respondents stating that IT team resources and skills posed the biggest challenge to implementing one
