VVC Objectives
The VVC function provides optimal Voltage-VAr settings, using available reactive power controls. VVC acts in real-time and look-ahead modes. VVC will be used in the E.ON project to address several operational scenarios. The main objectives are to:
Optimize the voltage and reactive power in the system and predict the voltage profiles for the next six hours
Predict possible subscriptions violations for the next six hours and present a list of MW recommended actions in order to prevent it
Predict possible line congestions for the next 6 hours and present a list of MW recommended actions in order to prevent it
Provide a complete set of output to allow the operator to evaluate the actual and forecasted state of the network. The output will include a solution summary, pre and post optimization bus voltage, branch flow violation and the bus voltage profile.
