A: So this is the famous Cultural Street, isn’t it?  

Z: Yes. It’s a long street with a lot of shops on either side. You can find some real Chinese handicrafts here.  

A: Very good.  

(After a while)  

Z: Do you have anything particular in mind?  

A: I want to buy some souvenirs for my friends and relatives.

Z: Would you like to have a look at the jewels? They’re over there.  

A: Certainly.  

Z: How do you like this ring? It’s inlaid with a diamond in a dragon design background.  

A: How lovely it is! And so rich in color! (To the shop assistant) How much does it cost?  

S: Three thousand two hundred and fifty yuan.  

A: I think I’ll take it for my wife.

H: Yes, it is. (To the shop assistant) Excuse me, but would you show me that glazed camel with a musician on it?

H: What’s that in dollars?  

S: Let me see. Well, about $70.  

H: That’s not expensive at all. I’ll take it.
