State GoalsThe Oregon Department of Education is working in partnership with school districts and local communities to ensure a 90% on-time, four year graduation rate by 2025. To progress toward this goal, the state will prioritize efforts to improve attendance, invest in implementing culturally responsive practices, and promote continuous improvement to close opportunity and achievement gaps for historically and currently underserved students.

School GoalsProvide a safe and welcoming culture and increase academic achievement for all students as evidenced by local and state assessment results. Continue to support and implement student-centered instructional practices to enhance learning and to build on students’ responses and interests that lead students to own their learning. Sustained focus on school attendance through implementation of attendance protocol and communication with parents. A continued focus of 100% graduation rate for Four-Year Cohort and Freshman on Track.
Safe & Welcoming EnvironmentGrant Union Jr/Sr High School strives to provide a welcoming culture where students are safe and cared for while maintaining the rigor expected of our students. Within our building we have a dedicated group of teachers and support cast that are actively engaged with students at Grant Union. We currently house a School Based Health Center at GU that provides health and mental health services to our students. Our Career Coordinator and Dean of Students staff members work with students on academic, social, emotional and behavioral needs.
