Status of COSMIC-2• The plan for COSMIC-2 includes two constellations, each with six

satellites:– Tropical constellation (24 degree inclination), to be launched in 2016– Polar constellation (72 degree inclination), to be launched in 2018

• On Feb 15, 2012: A decision was made to move forward with the first (24 deg) constellation.

• NSPO has awarded the spacecraft contract to Surrey, U.K. in July 2012• Air Force has secured a launch vehicle for the first constellation• Air Force has secured funding for six Tri-G receivers for the first launch• NSPO has secured the funding for the second constellation, and is

waiting for US sponsors to secure funding for the second constellation
