Newly certified UV and effect varnishes for Food Packaging

WEILBURGER Graphics GmbH receives further certificates for their FP NDC

varnishes.

Gerhardshofen, 10. Juli 2013 – WEILBURGER Graphics GmbH expands its product portfolio

with four further products of highest quality dispersion, UV and oil-based gloss and effect

varnishes.

The newly certified products are:

In the range of water-based coating systems:

SENOSOFT® WB MATT COATING FP NDC 17-5314 350210 in combination with

SENOSOFT® HARDENER 20-4235 372250

In the range of oil-based varnish systems:

SENOLITH® OB MATT VARNISH TWIN FP NDC 17-3982 355419

SENOLITH® OB EFFECT MATT VARNISH HYBRID FP NDC 17-3982 355424

In the range of UV curing lacquer sytems:

SENOLITH® UV GLOSS LACQUER INLINE FP NDC 17-3282 360424

Consequently both oil-based effect varnishes can be used for Food Packaging in the

following combinations with already certified varnish components:

products: “Our claim to guarantee highest product quality of our varnishes and inks in the

graphics industry both in the Non-Food as well as in the range of Food Packaging, is once

again fulfilled demonstrably: now we can impress once again in the difficult market of

suitable varnishes for Food Packaging in the product classes dispersion coatings, oil-based

varnishes and UV curing lacquers with new special and effect varnishes. We are very

pleased about the fast certification of our newly formulated SENOSOFT® WB MATT

COATING FP NDC 17-5314 350210 with a strong haptic effect and the related SENOSOFT®

HARDENER 20-4235 372250, as the demand is extremely high and the uncritical use of the

varnish in combination with the optional hardener was especially required by our customers

in the field of Food Packaging. Also the made certification of the Twin system for matt/gloss

effects, the Hybrid system for structure/gloss effects as well as the UV gloss lacquer, enable

now a wealth of new effects and effect varieties in the Food Packaging and facilitate the work

of designers, brand-owners and printing facilities to produce visually high-quality and

outstanding packaging on the POS that offer low migration and low odour in the range of

Food Packaging.”

All mentioned products are produced according to „EuPIA Guideline on Printing Inks applied

to the Non-food Contact Surface of Food Packaging Materials and Articles” and are now

available. The mentioned products can be ordered by the international partner network of
