SWP ”PICNIC” INFOIn case you haven’t heard...

SWP plans to host a Chicken Dinner and Basket Raffle Sunday, August 16, Noon-4:00pm. It is a DRIVE THRU dinner only, featuring our famous char-grilled chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, green beans, cole slaw, cucumbers, and dessert. Please note: DRIVE THRU only. Also available on August 16 are tickets for a chance on our awesome Raffle Baskets. You can purchase Basket Raffle tickets online NOW thru August 14, on the website: https://www.stwendelinbutler.com/Please note: all raffle tickets are going into one hopper. We are not good enough (yet!) to offer an individual selection on Baskets. Please bear with us as this is new, but still alot of FUN!

Cupcakes: Bake Away!To keep items as hands-off as possible and the drive thru line moving, donate only cupcakes for the dinners. Call SWP office to let us know how many to expect. We have many committed bakers but can use a few more. YUM!

VolunteersEighth grade and older can offer a two-hour time slot on Sunday, August 16; or for veggie cutting on Saturday, August 15; or bread cutting on

Wednesday, August 12. All days start at 8am. For bread and veggie cutting, plan to work about three hours. On Sunday, August 16, volunteers are needed all day to pack dinners and delivery them to cars, sell raffle tickets, and of course, dishes! Think of a two-hour shift that works for you, and call SWP office to let us know.

DonationsCash donations welcome anytime to defer the cost of the dinners. Drop off or mail your donation to the SWP Office. Placed in offertory is fine, too.

This week’s St. Wendelin School Student of the Week is: KAITLYN WELTERKaitlyn is a sweet,

caring and kind student. She is five years old and

attends St. Wendelin Preschool. She has two older sisters; Natalie who will be in 5th grade, and Leslie who will be in 2nd grade at

St. Wendelin School. Kaitlyn’s favorite thing

to learn about is numbers. Outside of school, Kaitlyn loves

playing with baby dolls and her sisters. She also loves doing gymnastics. When she grows up, Kaitlyn would like to be a princess!

Parish Notes ~ There is no Holy Day of Obligation Mass for Feast of the Assumption on August 15 because it is a Saturday.~ On Saturday, August 15, Confessions at Mater Dolorosa are canceled. Confessions that day are 11am at St. Wendelin and 11:45am at St. Joseph.~ The 2021 Grouping Lottery Calendars will be available for purchase in early September. We are also looking for more sponsors to fill the spots available.
