Members,

Again, the year has sped by quickly. For me, time spent at home while nursing my knee surgery, kept me off the cycle far too long. Hopefully, my decision to go three wheels has allowed me to pursue my passion of riding. My passion was put to the test with this years 5th Annual Fall Color Tour. On October 12th, eleven Retreads departed N.J. to follow Al Swiger through 6 states. To be honest, fall colors are usually on the back burner. Al’s forte is finding twisty back roads

and out of the way eateries Yes, there is a restaurant located in this junk pile.

New members don’t take on leading a destination ride... usually. However, it wasn’t the case for the 1st Annual PA/NY Weekend. New members, Steve and Claudine Gallager led about 28 Retreads on a loop ride on August 24th. Steve made hotel, ice cream stop and restaurant arrangements for this two night trip. He appreciated the assistance from 1/2

dozen other Retreads who helped with getting our riders to and from the starting point of this ride, Clark Summit, Pa.

The picture above is what Steve was striving to achieve….. scenic back roads with little traffic and good weather. Hats off to Steve and Claudine. They said there will be more to come.

Motorcycle Tips…Trips…and Trivia

Letter to our So. Jersey Members

There are a few members who had to leave motorcycling behind due to various physical limitations. These people left their mark on this sport as individuals and their participation in the Retreads Organization.

If you are one of these people, I want to make sure that time and friendship are not lost simply because you are no longer riding. You have been a vital part of our Wednesday/Sunday breakfasts, our various trips/rallies, and our social get-togethers. You are important to us.

Please let me know if we (your Retreads Family) can connect with you better. Giving you a ride to our Retreads functions or simply making a social call, would certainly be our privilege to arrange. Sincerely, Jim and Andi Wells
