__________________________________________

This October, we will be continuing our BIG Wednesday

“Doctrine” series. So far we have covered the Trinity,

how God speaks to us, and how science and faith inter-

sect, with more great content to follow! Additionally, we

will be having a lot of fun and meaningful outings!

Trunk-or-Treat is scheduled for October 31st from 5-

6:30pm. If you would like to donate candy for the

event, please drop them in the bin outside Jon’s office.

Here is a schedule for our special events:

Oct. 3rd – Unloading Pumpkins at the church

Oct. 7th – Clinton Sease Farms Corn Maze in Columbia

Oct. 14th – Paintball at Tracy’s Camp

Oct. 21st – Serving Dinner at SUM Emergency Shelter

Oct. 28th – Pumpkin Carving/ Movie Night

Oct. 31st – Trunk-or-Treat

It’s beginning to sound a lot like Christmas in the Choir

Room and you are invited to join us. Please let Denise

know if you would like to join our Cantata Choir or

Handbell Ensemble for the holidays! Rehearsals will

begin in early October.

The next Senior Lunch has been

changed from September to October

5th at 12 noon in the Fellowship Hall.

Anyone who is able to attend during

the lunch hour of 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. is invited to

come. We do need to know how many to prepare for,

therefore; call Terry Crawford at 469-2421 before Octo-

ber 1st.

CHRISTIAN CHARAITIES is in need of paper grocery bags. If you have any that you can donate

please bring them to the church and put in the baskets outside the church office.

COOKIES FOR SHAW

A big thank you to those who participated in the Cook-

ies For Shaw’s appreciation Picnic by either baking

cookies or sending cookie dough. We collected 180

dozen cookies.

FOOD FAIR

Saturday, November 17th

9:00 a.m.—2:00 p.m.

THE GOOD HUMOR BOX

One particular four-year-old prayed, ‘And forgive us our

trash baskets as we forgive those who put trash in our

baskets.’

``````````
A Sunday School teacher asked her children as they
were on the way to church service, ‘And why is it nec-
essary to be quiet in church?’ One bright little girl re-
plied, ‘Because people are sleeping.’
Wednesday, October 31st
5:00 p.m.
