The Roosevelt football team buriedKennedy under a 29-point, first-quarteravalanche last Friday, but Coach RonAdams was not completely thrilled withthe effort.

The Bears scored those 29 points in thefirst quarter and only added seven morethe whole rest of the night in crafting a 36-0victory.

We did not do a good job of taking careof the football, said Adams, whose team

had three turnovers. It was a little bitfrustrating.

Turnovers aside, it was another solidoffensive night for the Bears, whose bal-anced offense created 206 rushing yardsand 125 passing.

The Bears may also have found a No. 1running back as senior Aaron Robinsoncame to the forefront and gained a team-high 127 yards.

Robinson stepped up, said Adams. I

thought he ran the best of all our backs.Senior quarterback Kevin Matejko only

completed four of his 12 pass attempts, buthe passed for two touchdowns one a longone to Devan Stewart and 125 yards. Hedid have a pass intercepted.

Stewart caught two of Matejkos passand finished with 103 yards.

Nate Eady and Kyle Matejko scored rush-ing touchdowns and Jake Lavis returnedan interception for six more points.

The Bears also added two points when abad Kennedy snap went into the end zonefor a safety.

Kennedy got very little started againstthe Roosevelt defense and finished thegame with fewer than 100 yards.

The Bears, who have won 18 of their last19 Downriver League games dating backto 2010, are now 2-0 this year and they willtravel to Trenton Friday. The Trojans are0-2 this season, having lost to Truman andCarlson.
