Dear Principal and Teachers,
I am Chan Tai Man, Sam. I am eleven years old. I live with my parents and
my younger sister in Fanling. I am studying in Lee Chi Tat Memorial School in
Sheung Shui.
I am a hardworking child who loves learning. I have good academic results,
especially in English and Music. I am a member of the Chi Tat Leadership
Academy from P.3 to P.5. I am also a member of the Premier English Reading
Scheme. I read the series of books by Roald Dahl in P.4 and Harry Potter by J.K
Rowling in P.5 and P.6. I am a book lover. I like reading not only English books
but also Chinese ones, for example, the Legend of the Condor Heroes. They are
fabulous and attractive. Through reading, I gain knowledge and learn a lot of
vocabulary. Apart from the above, I am a member of the Drama Club in my
school as I am interested in acting and performing on stage. I gain
self-confidence and boost my public speaking skills through performances.
In my leisure time, I like not only reading but also playing tennis. I have
learnt to play tennis since I was five. Playing tennis helps to keep me fit and
healthy. So, I seldom get sick. During the weekends, I often play tennis with my
friends at Sheung Shui Tennis Court. It helps to release the tension in my study,
and it is great fun! I will keep on learning it. As the saying goes, ‘The more you

I hope to be a doctor when I grow up since I want to help the sick people. I
understand that it is not easy to be a doctor. To strive for my dream, I will work
