Also, coming up is the
Dance Concert. This
is next Friday 23rd June
and it commences at
1.30pm. I believe it is
shaping up to be yet
another extravaganza.
A further reminder to
parents that the
playground equipment
is out of bounds
before and after
school. This is in line
with school policy and
aligned with the DoE
duty of care
guidelines. There are
no teachers on duty at
these times and should
a child be injured,
even if the parent /
caregiver is present,
liability reverts to the
school. Whilst young
children are attracted
to the equipment ,
unfortunately we have
to close the area.
There is however, a
great playground
across the road at
Winnacott Oval.

It is hard to believe
that we are now in
Week Eight of Term
Two, almost half way
through the 2017
school year! To date, it
has been a very
productive semester,
with special events,
carnivals and reward
days.
The Reward Day last
week was a huge
success. Nexus again
produced a show that
was exceptional and
thoroughly enjoyed by
all classes. Invites to
the Reward Day went
to 99% of our
students. These
students had displayed
behaviours, both in the
classroom and
playground, that were
positive and
acceptable. Well done
to all these students,
and a big ‘thank you’ to
staff for the hard work
they do in ensuring
that the kids meet
expectations.
Summative reports will
be coming home in
Week 10. Teachers and
Admin staff are
currently in the process
of writing, editing and
preparing these. It is
obvious from the few
that I have read so far,
that many students
have been working very
hard to achieve the
best possible results in
all learning areas.
This Friday 16th June is
Interschool sports
for Years 4 – 6. This
will be at Riverton. At
the last Interschool
meeting, our students
were again
congratulated on the
exemplary
sportsmanship
displayed by all
participants.
On Wednesday 21st
June the 2017 Book
Fair commences.
There are great
bargains to be had and
great ideas that are
ideal for presents for
those last minute
birthday invitations.
The library will be open
for parents and

“It was so easy to submit my child’s absence while I was on the run
to the doctors. I could do it straight from the app on my phone”.
“I was able to locate where my daughter’s game being played, plus
the time. It even had a link to a map for directions to the Reserve. I
was on my lunch break, so this really helped”.
