    PROPER HANDWASHING

    from Helen, School Nurse

The Centers for Disease Control and

    Prevention (CDC) say handwashing is

the single most effective way to

    prevent the transmission of disease.

So, please encourage your students to wash their hand

well and often and to follow The 4 Principles of Hand

    Awareness:

    1. Wash your hands when they are dirty and BEFORE e

    ing

    2. DO NOT cough into your hands

    3. DO NOT sneeze into your hands4. Above all, DO NOT put your fingers into your eyes,

    nose or mouth

Also, tell your children, DONT TOUCH YOUR

T ZONE the mucous membranes of your eyes, nos

and mouth. The majority of diseases enter OUR bodi

through our T Zone. For respiratory and gastro-

intestinal diseases, it is the only portal of entry!!

So, be a Champion Handwasher and dont touch your T

Zone so you can stay healthy this winter!!
