in helping our scholars and school succeed.

There will be games and food at this event.

We look forward to seeing you all on this

Testing Begins Next Week for Grades 3rd-7th!

Let’s support our scholars and teacher leaders in the testing grades! Next week,

testing begins for scholars in grades 3rd-7th. As a reminder, attendance

counts! It’s important for our scholars to come to school every day, on time. We

need our scholars present at school daily next week during state testing. Let’s make this happen H.B.C.P families! In addition,

our scholars will need some energy boosters so they will stay focused during the testing weeks. You can help support our scholars by donating selected items (listed in the below picture) so we can

provide an “Energy Booster goody bag” to our scholars each day of testing. For more information in regards to the donations,

please see Ms. Becerra.

H.B.C.P’s 1st Annual

Talent Show is Coming

Soon!

This school year H.B.C.P will

host its 1st Annual Talent

Show. The first audition was

help on April 22nd. There will

be two more auditions held

on Wednesday, April 29 and

May 6 from 2:00-3:30 p.m.

The auditions will be held

upstairs in Mrs. Funn’s office.

Please come prepared to

show off your talent. Each

scholar may audition only

once.

H.B.C.P’s Talent Show will be

held on Friday, June 12th.

Time: 4:30-6:00 p.m.

Location: Sturges Center

for the Fine Arts. Make

sure to save the date so you

can see our H.B.C.P talent!

H.B.C.P is Still Enrolling for the 2015-2016 School Year!!

We are now enrolling for the 2015-2016 school year! We are enrolling scholars in grades K-8. If you know someone, send them our way. Anyone interested can go to the front office and see our school Secretary

Ms. Becerra for more information. If you refer someone, you will receive a FREE Hardy Brown

College Prep shirt upon complete enrollment.

NED Show: Yo-Yos Last Friday our 2nd-7th grade scholars enjoyed

watching a performance called “The NED Show.” The NED Show is a character education program

that visits schools to deliver three important messages that have life long relevance: Never Give up, Encourage others and Do your best. During the assembly, scholars learned about

NED’s three messages while they also enjoyed a fun story, magic, humor, and yo-yo tricks. The

NED Show is a pay-it-forward program. Therefore, we will be selling yo-yos for the

company during this week only, and all profits will go directly to the company so another school

can enjoy the show like we did. Yo-yos will be on sale from 3:00-3:45 p.m. every day this

week, except on Wednesday. On Wednesday, the yo-yos will be on sale from 1:30-2:30 p.m. in the front office. The cost of the yo-yos range from $8-$15. See a couple of pictures below
