LaBlast dance fitness is a program created by three time world dance champion Louis van Amstel who’s best known for his nine stunning seasons on “Dancing with the Stars” with celebrities such as Kelly Osbourne, Kendra Wilkinson, Niecy Nash, Sabrina Bryan, Lisa Rinna, and Priscilla Presley.

Wellness SUITESDesigned to renew the body and mind in every possible way, the new Wellness Suites at Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit and Casa Velas will count with a plethora of fitness and health amenities for travelers seeking an all-encompassing wellness retreat.

These two-floored suites have 1750 sq. ft. of space. Upon arrival, guests will be greeted by a personal Spa Concierge, who will provide counsel on a wide-variety of available Spa treatments, and information on the assortment of in-suite fitness amenities, which include an exercise kit comprised of a yoga mat, dumbbells, resistance bands, and a Life Fitness Activate Series Recumbent Lifecycle® exercise bicycle. “Manos que curan”(Healing Hands) products made for various types of healing, and created from a combination of local Mexican plants, flowers and seeds, the “Manos que curan” soap bars are available in cucumber, cactus, amaranth, and mint scents.

After the intro, guests are whisked to the upper terrace of the suite where a relaxing massage awaits. When it comes time to lay down for the night, an Alchimia Apothecary Aromatherapy Kit with scents ranging from cedar and lavender to tangerine and myrrh affords the essential oils needed to experience total relaxation at night. Accommodations also feature a Nikken Kenko™ pillow, comforter, and LED Lamp with a clock and timer that increases gradually, simulating the dawn and dusk which helps guests, fall asleep and wake up more naturally.

Extra healthy dishes are notated on the resort’s menus in addition to a crudités in-Suite minibar with carrots, cucumber, jicama, celery, beetroot and pineapple. The Vitamin C Sprinkler is created to spritz warm bath essential oils, which provide antioxidant and regenerative properties for the skin.

The twelve Wellness Suites at Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit make their debut in late October, 2015 followed by two Wellness Suites at sister property Casa Velas completed by the end of November, 2015.

Now, it is possible to share that special day around the world; the new Velas Weddings service allows watching weddings in real time, sharing this romantic moment no matter the country or city location.

The wedding live-stream is a real time service that will be transmitted on a personalized website with the name of the couple. The video will have guaranteed excellent sound and image. Casa Velas expands its Handbag “Bar” to 13 designer handbags, including a “murse” or man-purse, from Mont Blanc. On loan for guests to enjoy complimentary, designer offerings range from Purificación García and BCBG Maxazria, to Carolina Herrera, Tory Burch, Michael Kors, and Pineda Covalin; often called the Hermes of Mexico. Bags may be reserved once guests arrive at the adults-only boutique hotel. Guests can also rent a “Rock” through the resort’s diamond and high-end jewelry for rental program in cooperation with Diamonds International. Rings are offered in sizes ranging from .5 to 8 carats with rental for the evening ranging from $200 to $10,000 USD. One of the offerings is a yellow canary diamond, radiant cut, with a center stone of close to 4 carats and surrounded by 1.25 carats, all in white gold. The rental of this piece is $2,000 USD. Necklaces and bracelets, both diamonds and precious gemstones, are also offered for purchase. Reservations for jewelry need to be made 48 hours in advance.

Velas Vallarta now serves a fruitful welcome to its guests with its new Paleta Chiller, a Latin American fruit ice pop served in flavored water.

Available with or without alcohol, flavors include a pineapple water chiller with tamarind paleta, an orange water chiller with strawberry paleta, passion fruit water chiller with mixed fruit paleta, kiwi water chiller with hibiscus paleta, and a cucumber-melon fruit chiller paired with a mango paleta. Guests may choose to enjoy their chiller and paleta separately, or mix the two for a unique flavorful combination as the paleta melts into the chiller.

This amenity is complimentary for guests booking the resort’s two and three bedroom suites that overlook the emerald waters of Banderas Bay and lush tropical gardens.

Grand Velas Riviera Maya has appointed Maître Cuisinier de France, Michel Mustière, as Executive Chef, effective immediately. Mustière brings with him more than 25 years of culinary experience in various countries and different prestigious restaurants and hotels worldwide. Formerly Executive Chef of the resort’s award-winning French restaurant, he is one of only seven chefs in Mexico and 300 in the world to attain the prestigious Master Chef title. “Grand Velas resorts have earned a much deserved reputation for culinary excellence. I’ve been privileged to have studied and worked with two of the world’s cuisines designated part of UNESCO’s cultural heritage, French and Mexican. I look forward to applying this knowledge and my passion to bring the restaurants and bars at Grand Velas Riviera Maya to even greater heights with new food experiences and events,” said Mustière. Chef Mustière is an active member of Chaîne des Rôtisseurs and Culinaire de France Academy.In recent years, he has specialized in French haute cuisine and has participated in important events such as “The Best Of France Riviera Maya”, which will take place from October 14th to 18th at Grand Velas Riviera Maya. Ingredients:

Filling

• Ground Beef Sirloin - 1,200 kg• Tomato puree - 2 cups• Almonds, finely chopped - ½ cup• Chopped pecan nuts - ½ cup• Garlic, finely chopped - 5 cloves• White onion, finely chopped - 1 ½ cups• Chopped Italian parsley - ½ cup• Peach, peeled and chopped - 1 cup• Green apple, peeled and chopped - 1 cup• Raisins - 1 cup• Pitted green olives - 1 cup• Olive oil - 1 cup• Fine salt and cracked black pepper to taste• Granulated chicken bouillon, to taste

Chilesen nogada

Chef Jorge Sierra, from Velas Vallarta, shares a 100% Mexican seasonal recipe: Chiles en nogada.

Walnut sauce

• Peeled walnuts - 3 cups• Red Lyncott cream - 1 L• Sweet sherry - one cup• Brandy - 2 ounces• Natural goat cheese - 1 pc. (330 g)• Cow’s milk - 1½ cups• Refined sugar to taste• Fine salt and cracked black pepper to taste• Granulated chicken bouillon, to taste

For the chile en nogada

• Roasted and peeled Poblano chilis - 10 pcs.• Stuffed meat with fruits - 2 kg• Red threshed pomegranate, to taste• Sprouted micro-parsley, to taste• Walnut sauce - 2 L

Preparation:

Filling

1. Stir-fry the onion and garlic; add the seeds, raisins and finally the ground beef.2. Parboil until all the liquid has evaporated, add the tomato puree and let it fry with the above.3. Add the remaining ingredients and season.4. Once ready, remove from heat and spread on a tray to cool as soon as possible; keep refrigerated.

For the nogada (walnut sauce)

1. Grind the walnut with the sherry, brandy, milk and goat cheese until a paste is obtained with the consistency of thick gruel; season to taste.2. In a steel bowl, beat cream and sugar with mixer, until peaks are obtained. Add the walnut mixture in wrapping

motions to form a creamy, ready to spread, velvety sauce.3. Keep in a cold environment (refrigerated).

Presentation

1. Fill the chilis with the meat and fruits (approximately 200 g per chili). Place at the center of the plate. Add the walnut sauce making sure all the chili is topped. 2. Decorate with the pomegranate sauce ad the parsley sprouts.

Tip: Chilis are served at room temperature, with cold walnut sauce.
