Climate COP 21 and the AmazonJoint efforts towards COP21 will be made by the National Protected Area Systems Directors of Colombia, Ecuador and Perú with the goal of delivering a clear message from the Amazon Conservation Vision. Read more here.

PUBLICATIONSDuring the past 10 years, Brazil has made efforts to stop deforestation in the Amazon, enabling progress in terms of policies, mechanisms and systems to protect the world’s largest tropical forest. In spite of the significant decrease, Brazil still appears the top of the global deforestation ranking, having eliminated 5,891 sq. km of forest in 2013. The indication of a return to growth in the deforestation rates in 2014 calls for an even greater attention to the matter. The publication launched by WWF Living Amazon and WWF Brazil analyze the success and progress of the implementation of policies in Brazil to fight the Amazon Forest destruction in order to determine which factors were crucial and which lessons learned could be assimilated by the other countries in the Amazon biome.Read more in English here.Portuguese version can be downloaded here.
