Grab Your Hat and Read with the Cat! Celebrate National Education Association's Read Across America Day

Those who are six, sixteen, sixty-four, and more have all kinds of great events in store for the National Education

Association's (NEA) nineteenth annual observance of NEA's Read Across America. NEA is calling America's children,

New Staff Welcome: Ms. Reta Johnson, Assistant Teacher

Ms. Reta Johnson has officially joined Ms. Erin on the Aqua room teaching team!

Ms. Reta has over 17 years of experience in Early Childhood Education as a Kindergarten

Teacher and Family Child Care Provider. She has a degree with certifications in Early

Childhood and Special Education. Ms. Reta’s experience includes classroom management,

development and implementation of lesson plans and assessment of children and learning

outcomes. She has training and experience working with children with special needs.

Please join us in welcoming Ms. Reta to the CLC family!

Thank you CLC families for providing lobby, table, and classroom decorations as well as food samplings for our CLC

Chinese New Year Celebration. Also we want to send a special thank you to Ms. Zhu from the Chinese Community

Center for facilitating our staff development training!

To enhance our technology resources, CLC will incorporate ABCmouse.com

Early Learning Academy curriculum in the Toddler and Preschool

classrooms.

This will be a tool available to teachers as a way for differentiating instruction and extending learning through

specifically designed programs targeted for young children (ages 2-6 years).

As part of the ABCmouse.com package, CLC parents of children ages 2-6 years old will receive a 30-Day FREE Trial.

One family account holds up to 3 users. Letters with instructions and activation codes will be sent home this month.
