We are asking the band parents help with

a few items that the kids will need

throughout the year:   Approximately 110stud ents pa rticipate in the band . We will

also have junior school students at most

home football games as well, so use 125 as

an average number.

Foot items include: Salty Snacks, Sweet

Snacks, Bottled Drinks (with cap) such as so-

das, water and Gatorade, cups, trash bags and

 Rolls of Paper Towels.

Most individually wrapped items are fine,

but please do not bring foods that do not

contain powder substances such as Chee-

tos, Nacho cheese Doritos and chocolate

that will melt. (Not so good for the un i-

forms.)

The drop off location for all food items is

the instrument repair room.

First Aid kits are carried to every

event and on each bus to all gam es,

trips and competitions. To outfit ourfirst aid kit, we need:

Adhesive Bandages (all Sizes), Adhe-

sive cloth tape (1"), Antibiotic oint-

ment, Antiseptic Wipes, Tylenol, cold

compresses, non-latex gloves, hydro-

cortisone ointment, roller bandages &

large gauze pads.

Other items that are always needed:

Black socks (no ankle socks), safetypins, pony tail holders, regular rubber

bands, ziplock bags (any size) and

hand wipes.

The drop off location for all non-

food items is the uniform room.

Thanks again for supporting the band!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

HS and JS volunteers are always needed. They chaperone, man the concession stand, work fundraisers,

& label mail outs. At the HS, they wash uniforms, pass out hat plumes, pass out water, load

and unload instruments & coolers, and the list goes on. Nothing we do is rocket science, but

volunteers are indispensable to the Band faculty and the success of the program. Any help is

appreciated! Send your email address and areas of special interest, if any, to Melissa Phillips at

[email protected]. We will put you on a list and let you know how to get involved.
