Pastor Howard Herbert and his wife Carol returned to Toronto on May 1st 2012 after spending four months in Tobago.

From January 7th 2012, until May, we spent most of our time working on the new church plant at St Peter Community Church at 140 Les Coteaux Road, Mason Hall, Tobago. In doing the Outreach in the Community we were physically challenged at times by the hot weather, but spiritually we were excited in getting the work done.

God is gracious to His people. We were blessed to have Rev. Francis Tu Tu Brenpong, his wife Debbie and their son Elias joined us during the March break. We were reinforced to do the Outreach Ministry. They joined us in witnessing; giving out Bibles, Tracts and gift bags. During the month of March, Rev Francis brought the message from the pulpit. He was also helpful in clearing the trees around the church property as we prepared the ground for gardening.

Later Evangelist Lennox Manswell from Montreal and our Assistant Secretary, Sister Marjorie Cipri-ani from Toronto joined us as we continued our work for the Lord.

Praise Report

We see God’s power proven many times. On March 25th we had our first Anniversary Service. We had support from three of our supporting churches, members of the community including, Hill Top Explorers panside and about 160 people attending. It was a time of praise and celebration.

On Easter Sunday we had our first Baptism. A young lady by the name of Carol gave her heart to the Lord, she needs our continued support in

prayers that she would grow in faith and remain steadfast in the Lord.

Our first wedding took place on April 28th 2012. We had a wonderful ceremony and the Sanctuary was beautiful. What a change!

Exciting News

We were able to put in place a Board which com-prises of Senior Pastor, Associate Pastor, Elder, Secretary, Treasurer and three supporting Pastors.

Our Associate Pastor Alicia David continues to work in the community and is doing excellent work.

What we have doneWe have completed most of the renovation of the physical building both inside and outside. We have most of our musical instruments in place.

Evangelist Lennox Manswell apart from sharing the word worked hard with Sister Carol in planting a huge kitchen garden. We look forward to reaping some of the produce next time we visit and this would help in lowering the cost of our food bill.

Urgently needed

We need to purchase 100 chairs and three standup fans for the Sanctuary, two ceiling lights, a pulpit, and a steel weather door which will endure the rainy season. Our goal is to raise ($5000) Five Thousand Cdn Dollars to purchase these items.
