WIDE FORMAT XL BAMBOO PRESS SYSTEMOur patented XL Bamboo press system delivers new wide format boards that are 2200mm long and 216mm wide surpassing previous specif ications by over 50%.

LUXE SETS NEW RECORDS IN DENSITY AND DURABILTY

LUXE is made from only the hardest Moso bamboo which is special ly grown at cold , high altitude areas . This helps us achieve a much higher density than traditional bamboo floors. LUXE surface density is so hard it wil l resist dents from high heels making it suitable for domestic and commercial applications .

HIGH DEFINITION SURFACE EMBOSSING

Our new multi-tonne rol l ing press l ine enables us to create high def inition natural wood grains into the bamboo f looring surface. Combined with our German Tref fert staining and lacquer l ine we can produce a product that is identical to European Oak but far exceeds its durabil ity rating.

Genesis LUXE represents the next generation of bamboo flooring. We have incorporated many new flooring techniques and technolgies into the LUXE system to create a floor that is exceedingly beautiful.

The essense of LUXE is to recreate the warmth and beauty of European Oak flooring in a format that is more sustainable, extremely durable, and above all free from harmful VOC emissions.


Hardness is the main factor in durabil ity. The hardness of bamboo f looring can be relatively sof t or hard in comparison to other woods, and is dependent on three main factors – the species of bamboo used, its age at harvest and the cl imate in which it is grown.

There are many dif ferent varieties of bamboo within China . Proline Floors specif ies only the hardest Mosa bamboo species (phyllostachys pubescens). Our Mosa bamboo is grown in the coldest northern region of China at high altitude, which produces a slower growth rate due to the colder cl imate. This in turn ensures a much lower moisture content in the growth phase and maximum density at harvest time. We only harvest the bamboo at ful l maturity, between (5 ½ - 6 years). Research has shown that this is the time when f ibre density is at its peak . In contrast , sof ter species are generally harvested at 4 ½ years .

The manufacturing process also impacts on the hardness of the f looring. Strand weaving the fibres ensures the flooring is by far the hardest and most stable of all bamboo flooring. In fact, it is twice as hard as vertical or horizontal bamboo flooring and more dimensionally stable.

We have produced Genesis LUXE f loors with a new priority multitonne press capable of delivering higher pressing pressure than ever before. The result is a 10% increase in density and durabil ity over our standard bamboo range. When comparing density of common hardwoods and Genesis Strand Woven Bamboo, our f looring is on average 22% harder than Spotted Gum and 140% harder than Tasmanian Oak, making it the perfect f it for a busy modern Austral ian l ifestyle .

Genesis Bamboo is certif ied green and produced from rapidly renewable Moso Bamboo which grows to maturity in 5-6 years . A hardwood forest, in comparison can take over 50 years to renew itself.

SUSTAINABILITY

FINISHA durable f inish is the f irst l ine of defence for lasting beauty in wood f loors . We use a water based, solvent free, 10-coat f inish from world leader Tref fert of Germany. This f inish incorporates an aluminium oxide wear layer to boost abrasion resistance. The f inish carries a 25 year residential or 10 year commercial wear warranty.
