Kyaw Thu Aung Myanmar 3 nd Year Ph.D. Student As a privately financed doctoral student, my first year in Japan was tough due to cultural shock and living expenses. I tried hard to balance my student life between my research and part-time work. However, with support of my teachers and friends, I managed progress in my research and participated in several academic activities during my first-year in University. That is why I achieved Otsuka Scholarship in 2 nd year of PhD course. Now I am enjoying my student life in Japan as well as become familiar with Japanese culture, food, weather and working style. My department have been leading Stem Cell Research and Regenerative Medicine, as well as Dental Implantology and Orofacial Pain Researches in Dentistry. With the guidance of Professor, I also acquired the certificate of permission of Advanced Clinical Training from Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare in Japan and now I got chance to study clinical work in university hospital. I strongly believed that we can get unique learning experience in research and education from our department for our future success in academic and professional career. With Professor Sylviane Muller (France) in The 13 th URA International Seminar, Okayama University With Prof Takuo Kuboki At the top of Fuji Mountain Nguyen Thi Thu Ha Viet Nam 4 th Year Ph.D. Student Hi everyone. Iʼm Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, from Vietnam. Now Iʼm 4th grade of doctoral course in Department of Oral Rehabilitation and Regenerative Dentistry, Okayama University Graduate School of Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Three years have gone, and I could collect for myself not only knowledge in science research but also many experiences in daily life. Here we have all the most modern facilities to do research under the guidance of the leading researchers, this is the best environment for whoʼre interested in basic science. Moreover, students are encouraged to show up their results at international conferences in Japan and abroad with support from University. Besides, I enjoyed my daily life a lot. With a foreign student like me, Okayama city is really a best choice, not as expensive as Tokyo, Osaka, but it converges almost elements of a modern city.
