12.40 Case study - UHNM and the SWITCH Waste commercial partnership
UHNM has been undertaking a transformational ‘Waste Management’ project, which has implemented best and leading practice that challenges existing practices from ward level through to an innovative local disposal contract.
The project is transforming the UHNM Waste Management service into one that is regarded as a national leader and is enabling year on year savings.
‘SWITCH Waste’ is a commercial solution for the NHS and healthcare sector in order to provide a standardised and best practice approach to waste management that will generate efficiency savings as per the direction of the Lord Carter Review.
The opportunity is being delivered by the following three partners and will allow organisations to replicate the standards and achievements of UHNM.
