2019 NJ Site Remediation
Conference
January 29 & 30, 2019
Hyatt Regency New Brunswick
New Brunswick, New Jersey
Welcome to the 2019 New Jersey Site Remediation Conference! The LSRPA is proud to again offer this conference for LSRPs, guests, vendors and allied trades. Our inaugural conference was a smashing success and we believe this year's conference will be bigger and better. The NJSRC Committee has added posters sessions, peer presentation sessions, and a plated lunch for all attendees for this year’s conference.
The goal of the Site Remediation Conference is to provide LSRPs an opportunity to enhance our technical and regulatory skills through coursework, interfacing with vendors who support the LSRP program and engage one another in discussions that affect our profession.
For the 2019 Conference NJDEP Commissioner Catherine R. McCabe is our honored Keynote Speaker. Commissioner McCabe will be offering her thoughts on both the present and the future of the NJDEP. We hope you will join us to hear the Commissioner offer her insight.
The 2019 NJSRC Committee is comprised of a dedicated group of LSRPA members and staff. A tremendous effort has gone into developing this year's conference, based on the successful components of the inaugural conference, feedback from 2018 attendees, and growth opportunity for the conference as recognized by the Committee Members and the leadership of the LSRPA.
Thank you for attending the 2019 New Jersey Site Remediation Conference. Your participation ensures the success of this signature event, and the success of the LSRP community.
Sincerely,
2019 NJSRC Committee

NJSRC Attendees,
Welcome to the NJ LSRPA’s second annual New Jersey Site Remediation Conference. Building on thesuccess of last year’s conference, which was attended by more than 400 LSRPs, this year we will do moreto provide the education, expertise and networking opportunities that our members expect.
In addition to the annual membership business meeting required by the by-laws, the LSRPA has made thisconference an integral part of the ongoing education of the LSRP. Legislators, local officials, and themembers of the NJDEP will provide their insights into the realities of remediation, while vendors displaytheir latest innovations. The highlight for me and many other attendees is the opportunity to interactwith peers, learn from their experience and share my own.
An LSRP’s job involves gathering and sharing knowledge. This conference will provide you with theresources and experiences necessary to learn from the people who direct environmental remediationpolicy, find the tools necessary to perform the work, and speak with our colleagues who perform the workevery day.
Quality continuing education courses, a trade show, information from our partners in environmentalquality in the Legislature, the NJDEP, the Licensing Board, and local government are all here for yourreview. New for 2019, the conference added a poster session and short presentations that resulted froma competitive abstract submittal and review process. It’s a great way to step into the New Year.
And 2019 will be quite a year. This spring will mark the 10th anniversary of the Site Remediation ReformAct, which created the LSRP program. Building on its success, discussions are underway in the NJDEP andLegislature about how to improve SRRA for the benefit of the people and the environment of our state.Your LSRPA has been active in working to shape environmental policy and we welcome your input.
I have had the honor and privilege of serving as the President of the LSRPA in 2018. I’m proud of all thatwe have accomplished and excited about what the LSRPA will continue to accomplish. Thank you for yourmembership, your sponsorship, your volunteer hours, your creativity and your professionalism. Thankyou for protecting human health and the environment of New Jersey.
Sincerely,
Rodger A. Ferguson, Jr., LSRPPresident
