A very warm welcome!Welcome to Chagford for our sixth Film Festival! As always we’ve got a wide selection of eclectic films, quirky events, special guests and hands-on workshops. This year we’ve got some themed days: Tuesday is animation; Wednesday is world cinema; Thursday is food; Friday is music; and Saturday is ‘Las Vegas Comes to Chagford’!

Get yourself married by the King himself!A major highlight of this year’s festival – the chance to tie the knot or renew your vows in our very own Las Vegas-style wedding chapel, where ceremonies will be presided over by none other than the King of Rock and Roll! Wedding attire for the happy couple can be provided. Everyone who takes part will receive a colour photo of the happy event and a free glass of bubbly! And remember: weddings performed by Elvis are valid for the duration of the Film Festival only!

Calling all you Elvis fans! Get out your blue suede shoes, dust down your glittering jumpsuits, oil up your quiff, and enter our Elvis competition, taking place in The Globe Inn on Saturday afternoon between 2pm and 5pm. We don’t care what shape, size, age, sex or colour you are, the judges will be looking for talent and a serious sense of fun! Cash prize for the winner

The Good Dinosaur 2pm Jubilee Hall £3 PG 2015

This year’s children’s matinee film asks what if the asteroid that forever changed life on Earth missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct? An Apatosaurus named Arlo makes an unlikely human friend and learns the power of confronting his fears. Kids and parents all welcome, and there will be cake and drinks on sale to raise money for Chagford Primary School PTA.

3pm Endecott HouseThe best of the short films entered into our ‘Emerging Talent’ young filmmakers’ competition. Films are all less than five minutes and shown on a loop, so you can pop in at any time from 3pm.

Las Vegas Street Parade 6pm Starts outside The Globe Inn Free

A full marching band, Elvises, showgirls, music and dancing, our famously raucous Saturday evening street parade is one of the highlights of the year in Chagford. The parade atmosphere is made by you, so dress up in your best American outfits, whether it’s Elvis, the rat pack, gangsters, molls, gamblers, film stars or showgirls – let your imagination go wild!

Arrive 7pm for free bubbly and canapes! Get into the closing night gala mood by wearing black tie and evening dress (optional). David O.
