Dear parents/carers, Reports Reports are ready early and will be sent home on Thursday. Reports will look a litle different this semester because of remote learning. Your child will not receive a grade (A-E) instead, a standard comment about what they have been exposed to over the last semester including the content of learning packs. They will also have learning goals set for Semester 2.

Please check your child’s bag at the end of the day to make sure you receive it. We will be holding parent interviews at the end of Term 3. School Photos School photos have been moved to 4th/5th November as the borders are s�ll closed and the company can’t get over the border. All money will be carried over to this date and can s�ll be ordered online. We will reassess at the start of Term 4 if the borders are not open to look at different op�ons. Educa�on Week This week we will be celebra�ng educa�on week with the theme “Learning Together’. Our week will start off with performances of the choir and dance group being posted to our school Facebook page. On Wednesday, students will be going to buddy classes to work on ac�vi�es together. We will also be watching out educa�on week video that has been created by Mr Brown. Pending the weather, students will be compe�ng in cross country. Unfortunately, parents will not be able to join us this year. Keep your eyes on our Facebook page for regular updates. Parent Entry into the school Due to department guidelines, parents are s�ll unable to enter the school grounds. This includes morning drops offs (including canteen and breakfast club) and a�ernoon pick-ups. Please give the office a call or message your classroom teacher if you have any ques�ons or to request support with your child. I realise this is very frustra�ng, however, we must follow all guidelines released by the Department of Educa�on to keep students and staff safe. NAIDOC Week Next week, students will be involved in a variety of ac�vi�es learning about the NAIDOC theme ‘Always Was, Always Will Be’. We will start the week with an opening ceremony and a day of ac�vi�es being held on Friday. Kinder and Preschool Enrolments 2021 Enrolments are now open for students turning 5 by 31st July for Kinder 2021. Please contact the office for more informa�on or fill out the return slip at the end of the newsleter. Orienta�on days will commence in Term 4.

Alma Bugdlie Preschool is now calling for 2021 enrolments where children can be part of a crea�ve and cultural learning program. Wai�ng list forms are available from both Bugdlie Preschool located on Piper Street (across the road from the Toy Library), and Alma Public School. Ruby Church Relieving Principal

been returned, therefore previous permission to

publish /not to publish will be used un�l the note is returned

or the school is no�fied.

ALMA SCHOOL PHOTO DAY Advanced Life Photography will be taking the Alma School photos on Wednesday 4th November. Parents will be advised if there is any further change in dates due to Coronavirus restric�ons.

Advance Life prefer that you order online at www.advancedlife.com.au using online order code ZEX PKV YMQ The school only collects envelopes on behalf of Advance Life, we DO NOT give change. Please ensure you have the correct money in your envelope.

Sibling orders are available online (online orders no later than 3rd November) or envelopes can be collected from the office. The office will be closed before 9am on photo day for staff photos.

Due to the large amount of people who le� it to the last minute in the past, the office is only accep�ng envelopes un�l Friday 30th October.

If you have not ordered online or returned your envelope by the due date you will need to give your envelope to the photographer with the correct money inside on photo day.

Students will be required to wear full SUMMER uniform.
