    The high-speed railway is born in the 80's as an instrumentof political corruption.The project was created initially as a link between Italy - Francewith high-speed trains for the transport of persons. He

    I do not think that in a country ruled consistentlyand correctly you can start a lawsuit because the

    choices should be made in favorof the country.Unfortunately we are faced with an anti-politics where noone can have this security and is therefore safe to thinkabout interests and trade-offs. As we can see, for now SITAV have more than NO TAV

    The different tactics of each players

    NO TAVhad started a protest for a long time in all possibleaspects: parades, torchlight processions, roadblocks.Could be increased, protests outside the Piedmont and alsoincrease the consents of all Italy.

    SI TAVat the moment are just stuck to justify the project andsince TAV has already beenapproved, awaiting the completion of the work took longerCould provide a better explanation for increased awareness,safety and value of the railway line.

    -WHITOUT THE TURIN-LYON THE PIEDMONT WOULD BEISOLATED FROM THE EUROPE.In reality, the Piedmont is already quite connected toEurope. In this valley there are already two roads, a

    highway and a railway passenger and freight. There is alsothe so-called rolling motorway (TIR transport of special shuttletrains).

    - THE TAV IS ESSENTIAL TO THE ECONOMICREVIVAL OF PIEDMONT

    In fact the opposite is true, removing resources to research,innovation and the recovery of industry in crisis (Fiat andothers), TAV will be the final blow to the economy ofPiedmont.

    -THIS WORK IS GOOD FOR THE

    Really the cost of 20 million is all to the community. All public

    money, but entrusted to private. The incredible amounts

    of money that are needed by this will be taken from existing

    railway lines (already dysfunctional), hospitals, schools, andall utilities.

    -WHO 'AGAINST THE TURIN-LYON AND' THE PROGRESS AGAINST.

    In fact the opposite is true. Progress should not be

    confused with infinite growth. The Italian territory is small and

    overpopulated, natural resources (water, agricultural land,

    forests, minerals) are limited, pollution and waste increase

    without limit, the oil is low.

    The basic cost of the tunnel is about 16 milion euros.Long before the term, the costs are more thanquadrupled. The promoters hope on the contributionof private funding, but the forecast of lowprofitability and operating the example of the failure ofthe Anglo-French tunnel under the English Channel keptaway investors. Almost all the money needed to supportthe work would then need to come from public sources,and those will be subtracted, to welfare, education,

    healthcare.In addition you will need constantmaintenance.

    According to Lisbon, the 128 million already obtained fromBrussels for the work is not an unbreakable bond because

    the country cantcome back. The possible cancellation

    could bring serious consequences in Italy, in fact, in

    Portugal for the cancellation of the project were 264million requested damages for lost profits. The

    government will only pay for work already done. The

    end of the project will also lead to the lost of

    many jobs. The same thing could happen just in Italy butthe Italian government doesnt have enoughmoney

    to pay damages, especially in this time of crisis.

    We think that:

    we are in big moment of crisis, the realization of the TAV,

    would take away, as said before more, essential funds

    from services (schools and heath). This project could

    bring money to Italy connecting our country with others,

    through businesses and the communications , but at the

    moment we haven't the money for a so big IMPRESA

    even if that could bring us beneficts. Would need a

    stronger contribution from the others nations involved

    but also their economical situation is critical. For locals,

    the biggest supporters of the NO TAV, you might think of

    a possible deviation of the path, then trying to resolve

    the dispute between the two 'sides'.
