Who we areINOUT HOSTEL is a Special Work Center dedicated to hotel and catering industry opened in 2005 by Icaria Social Initiatives, a non-profit entity.

INOUT HOSTEL is located in Barcelona, in its privileged nature park, with a tube station (zone 1), 300 meters uphill until the reception. It offers almost 200 beds in shared rooms in regime of four, six and ten people.

Shares some targets with leading tourism industry: provide the best customer service and generate a sufficient level of resources to get benefits, by obtaining customer satisfaction scores above the 80%.

INOUT HOSTEL is the first hotel service in Europe where 90% of its staff consists of disabled workers, mostly intellectual.

What we do INOUT HOSTEL IS A TOURIST COMPLEX CONSISTING OF THREE BUILDINGS LOCATED IN 5 HECTAREAS OF GARDENS AND FORESTS IN THE COLLSEROLA NATURAL PARK.

INOUT has the charm of nature, its endearing employees, and original décor with reused objects. Located in the green heart of Barcelona and with a staff of about 50 employees mainly with intellectual disabilities, INOUT Hostel is the first European resort with these features.

It provides accommodation for almost 200 people in shared rooms 10, 6 or 4 beds, multipurpose rooms, terraces, sports court, children’s play area, swimming pool with solarium, library, bars with terraces, and zones with computers with internet, Wi-Fi and free parking. There a magnificent restaurant with large windows and spacious terraces park. INOUT offers the best services and prices to 15 minutes by metro (FGC) the city centre and in privileged surroundings of Barcelona.

AccommodationAll rooms face the park and are sunny: 10, 6 and 4 beds. The large rooms have ten beds separated by a wooden partition in modules of 2 and 4 beds to more privacy. Each individual module consists of a bed with rear shelf, wall lamp and individual electrical connection, and a generous closet with security key that works with a € 2 returnable coin.

Because sleep is important, each bed has a good mattress. Daily cleaning is performed around the hostel, also occupied rooms and bathrooms.

Breakfast is included in the price. We rent sheets and towels. 80 of our beds are accessible as well as the toilets and public areas.

RestaurantOur restaurant offers a wide range of self cooking.So we offer half board or full board in regime of self-service with traditional cuisine, or you can opt for a packed lunch for picnic. We offer special services of food: vegetarian diets, celiac...Monday to Friday we have a set menu with three courses to choose: First, second and desserts, also includes appetizer, mineral water, wine and coffee for 10 euro.On weekends and holidays, we have an eight-course menu with a choice: first, second and desserts, also includes appetizer, mineral water, wine and coffee for 17 euro. Children’s menu for 9 euro. We have a select offer for banquets, celebrations and picnics.We recommend our dinner shows and disco-show in special feasts.For 24 hours you will find a bar-cafeteria with pizza and lasagne.

Meeting rooms Our rooms are tailored to the needs of each client.

They are suitable for training seminars: seminars, workshops, conferences, “showrooms,” brainstorming...

They also function as private rooms for cocktails, fun and formal receptions, anniversary parties, company parties, family celebrations and friends...

Our environment makes incomparable rooms for corals trials, singing groups, bands and traditional dance, contemporary dance...

As they are equipped with a warm floor is also ideal for meetings of yoga, tai-chi and other natural therapies.

The beauty, atmosphere and historyOur challenge is to welcome every visitor and bring him to discover the city not as a tourist but as a citizen.The visits are designed to last a day or a few hours, depending on time availability.

Workshops for the most youngThe children will learn to observe and discover the characteristics of each work and likewise to know the most significant moments of the artist’s biography.

Apples of our trees, rosemary, strawberry mimosa and plum are the basis our jellies and jams and cookies.

By Being in the woods we have fruit trees, herbs, plums and strawberry mimosa... And we thought we had to take advantage of it and elaborate handmade jams, jellies and cookies with products of our environment.

How we do it

The INOUT Hostel with his team of people with disabilities is organized in departments: reception, restoring, activities, cleaning and gardening, and maintenance.

Our workers have been trained in special education school TAIGA.

From the different channels of Internet and online agencies, INOUT has the best daily offer for individual groups for to be in and out of the city of Barcelona.

Reservations are carefully treated from a computer program which generates work orders to the customer find exactly the requested services.The charm of Inout’s staff and the nature does the rest.

Who are we addressing

Our accommodation offer is for all types of groups, schools, academics, sports, and leisure students ... seeking for interesting offers in the city of Barcelona in a green, pleasant, spacious and safe place (15 minutes from Plaza Catalonia FGC).

Individual customers will find the ideal place to meet other backpackers arrived from every corner of the world, lovers of green spaces in urban areas.

The INOUT restaurant is aimed at the general public. We offer a kitchen Traditional menus both daily and on weekends. But we also offer sophisticated and high level cuisine for special events, such as corporate meetings, celebrations or personal and family events.

Also for companies and organizations, we offer meeting rooms (fully equipped with audiovisual) are a great option which can be accompany with coffee service, lunch INOUT inside and outside, as well as activities.

Alternative measures, LISMI

Based on LISMI (Law on Social Integration of the Disabled) we selectcandidates for companies with over 50 employees.

· Bonus in Social Security contributions.· Grants for hiring.· Relief in corporation tax.· Adaptation to the job and production equipment.

The RD 364/2005 provides for two alternatives to recruitment disabled:

1. Purchase products and services to Special Work Centres, like:· CET Icària Gràfiques. Sale of products and printing services offset,

digital, serigraphy, pad printing and textile printing.

· CET INOUT HOSTEL. Sale of hotel industry, multipurpose rooms rent and accommodation services.

2. Donations to foundations with the objective of training and work integration of people with disabilities.

· Icaria Social Initiatives Private Foundation which supports labor integration projects of our Special Work Centres and promotes training for access to them and to the company ordinary.
