CLIENT FEEDBACK: ‘Just like to give you some feedback for the work NIC have done for us over the last 11 day programme. Both myself and my colleague have been very impressed with the way in which Andy Williams and the lads have worked on site during the last 2 weeks. I was quite apprehensive about the job due to restricting access to cus- tomer flats each day and due to individuals vulnerabilities. Andy personally took it upon himself to communicate to the residents the start times and dates, any queries with customers and staff were quickly addressed. Andy had a genuine concern for the residents well being throughout the programme and this was clear for all to see. At all times during the work all paperwork was to hand and up to date. Staff at Peaks & Plains had all noticed the hard working nature of Andy and the lads on site. Some of the residents have also commented on how hard the Team have worked throughout the programme. BACKGROUD

Peaks and Plains Housing Association manage over properties in Cheshire. We were asked to undertake all three

of our specialisms as a turnkey project—asbestos removal, insulation of associated pipework and install new

ceilings to communal areas. The project took place at Shrigley Court, a sheltered housing block, and was part of

a larger project to install new lighting and a new fire protection system.

PROGRAMME:

To enable the installation of new fire protection and light fittings:

The first phase consisted of the removal of AIB panels and textured coatings to areas of ceilings in corridors,

communal areas and 32 flats.

The second phase was the re-insulation of pipework within ground floor corridor ceiling voids and the installation

of new ceilings throughout the corridors, lounge and toilet areas.

The third phase involved an environmental clean to first floor loft areas to allow further cabling to take place.

Careful planning and was taken to inform the elderly residents within the block. Communication was paramount

to the success of this project—the residents within the block were elderly and had restricted access to their flats at

certain times. Our site supervisor explained all start times to the residents and answered any questions they had.

CLIENT FEEDBACK:

‘Just like to give you some feedback for the work NIC have done for us over the last 11 day programme.

Both myself and my colleague have been very impressed with the way in which Andy Williams and the lads have

worked on site during the last 2 weeks. I was quite apprehensive about the job due to restricting access to cus-

tomer flats each day and due to individuals vulnerabilities. Andy personally took it upon himself to communicate

to the residents the start times and dates, any queries with customers and staff were quickly addressed. Andy had

a genuine concern for the residents well being throughout the programme and this was clear for all to see. At all

times during the work all paperwork was to hand and up to date.

Staff at Peaks & Plains had all noticed the hard working nature of Andy and the lads on site. Some of the residents

have also commented on how hard the Team have worked throughout the programme.

Once again I would like to thank Andy Williams and his team for their hard work and professional approach to the

job in hand. ‘
