Christmas Masses: Our parish will hold five Masses this Christmas: two vigil Masses, a Midnight Mass, and two on Christmas day. I ask your patience because, un-derstandably, we have no idea what to expect for attend-ance. Socially distant seating will be available in the church until we reach 25% capacity. Additional seating will be available in the church halls. St. Isidore will be live-streaming in the large hall for the 6 pm vigil Mass. Thank you for your generosity! Our parish communi-ty has responded with great love and generosity to the needs of others this season. This fall, we have spon-sored several families for Christmas, collected over $1,600 for the Laingsburg and Elsie food banks, collected 55 sweatshirts for Holy Cross children's Ser-vices, made and distributed 425 pairs of mittens and hats throughout the greater Lansing area, and distribut-ed 14 new winter coats to Laingsburg Schools. Thank you also to those of you who participated in this week-end's collection of diapers and formula for local preg-nancy resource centers. First Reconciliation: This past week, we celebrated First Reconciliation with five of our young ones. Mo-ments like this are among the great joys of the priest-hood! Since much of our religious education content has had to occur in the home, I am very grateful for the par-ents' work in preparing their children for this sacrament. Please keep our second graders in prayer as they contin-ue to prepare to celebrate their First Communion this spring.

Baby shower for Jesus: Next weekend is another op-portunity to support those in need. We invite people to bring unwrapped gifts for babies (especially diapers or formula), which we will donate to a local pregnancy re-source center in the Lansing or Owosso area. Christmas Star: The three Wise men followed Bethle-hem's Star to see the newborn King, Jesus Christ. Per-haps you have heard about the phenomenon that some astronomers call the "Christmas Star" that will take place on December 21. Jupiter and Saturn will align in the western sky and appear as one great light. The last time such a close pairing was observable to the naked eye was 800 years ago! You can already notice the plan-ets coming together, but on the 21st, we will look up and see the "Christmas Star!" Like the Wise men, let us seek after the newborn King! Have a blessed week. Know of my continued daily prayers for you and your families. Fr. Bob
