The SkoolBag app is an easy way to stay up-to-date with school events, last minute notices, newsletters and other school communications. Come along and see the movie Grinch this Saturday at the Tower Cinemas. Doors open at 2.00pm with cakes and lollies for sale. Movie commences at 3.00 pm. Tickets are $12 each and must be purchased by tomorrow at 10.00am. Presentation Day is on Wednesday, 12 December. The ceremony will be held under the COLA and commence at 10.00 am. We look forward to seeing you there. If your child has collected 10 Dollarmites tokens and would like to redeem them for a School Banking reward item this term, please fill in your child’s redemption slip and bring it along to one of our School Banking days by 28th November 2018. This will ensure the reward item will arrive before the school holidays. Any Dollarmites tokens that are not redeemed this year can be used in 2019. The school is in need of a volunteer for 2019 Student Banking. Our current volunteer, Marianne Allen, is able to train someone this year. If you can assist with this position, please contact the school. The last day for student banking is Wednesday 5 December. The last day for Library borrowing is Thursday 6 December. Please send in any overdue books. We now have stocktaking in progress. Stage 2 students and teachers had a fabulous time at Great Aussie Bush Camp last week. Some of the favourite activities they participated in were giant swing, high ropes, bushcraft, archery and canoeing. They also enjoyed a heart racing game of Commando and competently organised their very own County Fair. The behaviour of all students was exemplary and all teachers were very pleased with the ‘can do’ attitude of all campers. 1E will hold its Cup Cake Day on Tuesday 4 December, 2018. Donations of cakes, slices and other goodies can be left at 1E’s classroom. (No toffees or nuts please as we have students with peanut allergies.) Cup cakes are now 50 cents each for a delicious treat.

CANTEEN VOLUNTEERS NEEDED URGENTLY

Thank you to everyone who has supported the school canteen during 2018 by either using our service or volunteering in the canteen. Volunteer shifts are ideally from 11.30 am – 2.30 pm Thursday and Friday. Volunteers Needed The clothing pool is in urgent need of more volunteers for 2019 - if you can assist all that is required is 30mins approx on a Tuesday from 9am to 930am 1/2 times per term. If you would like to volunteer please email our new email address mhpsuniform@gmail Donations It’s that time of the year again! Time to go through your cupboards/drawers and bag up any MHPS items that no longer fit and send them in to the clothing pool. (please note we currently have excess stock of the "old" blue polo, please no more donations of these) Money raised from the sale of these items goes to the P and C and provides funds to purchase additional resources for our kids. We appreciate all donations but ask you to ensure the following donation etiquette: * please only donate official MHPS uniform items (those with school logos and/or purchased at Lowes) * please only donate items that are in good condition, are not stained or torn, and have been washed. Simply pop into a bag and send to the school office or take them to the clothing pool on a Tuesday morning from 9.00 am—9.30.
