As I'm writing this update I have the pleasure to be sitting in  ['vɪltnɪs], our new cafe and gallery ministry that opened up this October in Herrnhut. It was a joy to pioneer this cafe in the beginning of 2012, and to now see it completely transform the p a s t m o n t h s i n t o a running business has been incredible. 

M a n y t h i n g s h a v e happened this fall here in Herrnhut and inside Pick A Pocket. Not only have we started a long term local ministry here in our village, but we have also gone out to pioneer and create new communities in Florida and Shanghai, China. God has taken Pick

A Pocket to incredible heights and depths this entire year from us going on a 2 week faith trip to Eastern Europe, touring the US in June, being in downtown London for 2 w e e k s d u r i n g t h e Olympics, allowing us to open a cafe, and begin to plan for 2013 with these 2 new communities. 

Where is my place in all of this? What is my role? What am I going to be doing in 2013? These are all questions I've been processing, praying, and asking myself the past months. With a lot of thought I feel like God has led me to continue to stay in Herrnhut, Germany next year and play a

major role by leading a new department/ministry within Pick A Pocket c a l l e d t h e M e d i a Department. The vision f o r t h e M e d i a Department is to see Pick A Pocke t s v i s i on o f "fighting extreme poverty by using the arts" become more publicly known by the means of newsletters, p o d c a s t s , v i d e o s , brochures, magazines, etc. We want to continue to reach and disciple youth in their character, their art, and their walk w i t h C h r i s t . W h i l e e n c o u r a g i n g a n d challenging them to use what their talents and giftings are, and what they're passionate about for a greater purpose.

BE USED TO CALL GREAT PEOPLE INTO GREATER THINGS

I believe that through this Media Department and the products that will come out of it will serve the bigger picture of discipling people, fight extreme poverty, and fulfilling the Great Commission. I remember when I was called into missions by visiting a website that had a few photographs and some text about how you can combine art and missions. From a simple website like that, I know the products that come out of the Media Department can be used to call great people into greater things.

On Nov 30 I will be flying back to Wichita, KS for 3 weeks with my girlfriend. Than on January 2nd 2013 we will both fly back to Herrnhut to continue our work in Pick A Pocket and YWAM Herrnhut. 

This year I reached a new level of financial report that I've been hoping for. Now I realize how much more support I'm needing for 2013 to continue to live debt free while being led to do the things that I feel like God has called and is calling me to. Right now I receive $925 monthly, which converts into 720 Euros a month. With this amount I'm able to live in Herrnhut. But if I'm needing to go on outreach to any other countries for a time period, or spend money on photography, or clothing, then I will quickly be in debt. I'm looking to receive $1,500 for the year of 2013 to continually carry out His vision and plans. The past 4 years I could not have done any of this without your help. If you are reading this and are not supporting me financially, I want to encourage and challenge you to think about how much you're able to give monthly. This will not only affect my life, but your finances will pout our onto others lives and ministries for me to bless as well.
