Maureen Lehane Vocal Awards 2017The final of the Maureen Lehane Vocal Awards celebrates performances by some of the most talented young singers in the country today. The competition, this year celebrating its 25th Anniversary, is organised by Jackdaws, recipient of the 2016 Music Teacher Magazine Award for Excellence for ‘Best Classical Music Education Initiative’. Past winners have included Amanda Echalaz, Sarah Fox, Christopher Maltman and Mary Nelson. The judging panel, chaired by Saffron van Zwanenberg, includes Mary Nelson, Jonathan Fa’afetai Lemalu and Christopher Glynn. Following a preliminary audition, the finalists each perform a programme of four pieces including works by Handel and Peter Wishart.

Buses A large number of buses travel along Oxford Street, which is approximately a five-minute walk from Wigmore Hall.
Car Parking There is limited street parking after 6.30pm (Mon – Sat) and all day Sunday in permitted areas. Alternatively there are public car parks in Cavendish Square, Harley Street and Marylebone Lane, all of which are less than a five-minute walk from the Hall. Wigmore Hall participates in the Theatreland Parking Scheme which gives all Wigmore concert-goers 50% discount on their parking.
