THOUGHTS FROM BRAD
Today I want to highlight our First Impressionsministry. Each week we have individuals serve at
our Visitors table. We are seeking men/womenwho know how to smile, listen and capable of
saying, Were glad youre here! Now thats not tootough is it? You can do it!
These volunteers are asked to serve at this table for10-15 minutes before and after the service theyattend. You may or may not have anyone come to
this booth, but dont be discouraged because youare important, and when that visitor steps up to thetable and sees you there, you will know that Godwill use you to make a difference and impact a life. Our volunteers are ready and able to welcome andgreet first time guests, answer their questions, andgive them a free gift. They're warm and friendly andexcited to learn about what has brought each
person to visit and how they can get connected atFACC.
If you can help us, please contact meimmediately. By the way, we currently needsomeone to oversee this ministry. If thissounds like something you might be interested in, Iwould love to sit down with you.
In His Service,Brad
SCOTTS THOUGHTS
Yesterday we had an opportunity to take our faith andput it into action. Many of you were a part of thateither by volunteering to help or as the recipients ofthat blessing. In either case I want to say thank youfor being a part of our go forth weekend. Anytime wecan give of ourselves in service to God and to otherswe are blessed in that as well.
Hopefully, whether you were able to participate in thisGo Forth event or not you will take this as a startingpoint for your ministry here at Fifth Avenue. You dontneed to wait for a special event to help someone outwith yard work or house cleaning. It is always theright time to use your skills and abilities to bless theLord and reach out to others. Think about what youcan do and find a way to regularly exercise your giftsand glorify God.

Last week in Childrens church we learned abo
Serving Others. We learned that you can never too young or too old to Serve Others. W
brainstormed ideas of things we can do in everyd
life to serve others. Jesus came to earth to ser
others and not be served, so we will strive to do t
same. We also learned that we must have a joyf
heart as we serve, it should be something we enjo
(even if it is helping Mom with the dishes )
Yesterday, we all had a chance to Go Forth a
serve others. I hope we dont stop here, but
continue to serve others every day!
Matthew 20:28 For even the Son of Man came n
to be served but to serve others and to give his li
as a ransom for many."

A congregational meeting will be held Sunday, December 2, 2012following each morning worship hour. The purpose of the meeting is toelect officers and approve the budget for 2013.
PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO BY-LAWS
On December 2, at our annual congregational meeting, our membershipwill be asked to consider an amendment to our current By-Laws. It is aminor change which adds an officer to our administrative structure. Tothis point, the person who serves as the backup to our ChurchTreasurer has been appointed. We are recommending that this
become an elective office approved by the congregation. It is believedthat this is a better arrangement, both for the person serving and thecongregation. Therefore, the following amendment is proposed.
