Entrance Hymn Come let us bow down to Christ, As we worship Him, The Son of God. Save us, O Son of God, Who did rise from the dead, We sing to You: Alleluia.
Resurrectional Apolytikion (Plagal Three) By Your Cross, O Lord, You destroyed death; To the thief You opened Paradise. The myrrh bearers' sorrow You transformed into joy, And You sent Your Apostles forth to proclaim That You had risen from the dead, Christ our God Bestowing on all the world Your great mercy.
Festal Apolytikion (Martyrs) You have given us the miracles of Your holy Martyrs, As an impregnable wall, O Christ our God. At their entreaties, frustrate the plots of enemy nations, And strengthen our government, For You alone are good and love humanity.
Church Hymn (Troparion of Pentecost) Evlogitos i Hriste O Theos imon, O Pansofous tous aliis anadixas, Katapempsas aftis to Pnevma to ayion, Ke thi afton tin ikoumenin saginefsas, Filanthrope doxa Si.
Blessed are You O Christ our God Who has shown the fishermen as wise men By sending down Your Holy Spirit upon them And through them, the whole world You drew into Your net O Lover of mankind, glory to You.
Kontakion (The Entry of the Theotokos into the Temple) Behold the temple of the Savior, His precious bridal chamber. Behold the virginal and sacred vessel of God's glory. Today she enters into the house of the Lord, bearing within her the grace of the Holy Spirit. For this the angels exclaim: She is indeed the heavenly tabernacle.
After the Prayer of the Proskomidi I love you, O Lord my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my Savior.
EPISTLE READING: St. Paul's Letter to the Ephesians 2:14-22
BRETHREN, Christ is our peace, who has made us both one, and has broken down the dividing wall of hostility, by abolishing in his flesh the law of commandments and ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby bringing the hostility to an end. And he came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near; for through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father. So then you are no longer strangers and sojourners, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure is joined together and grows into a holy temple in the Lord; in whom you also are built into it for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.
GOSPEL READING: The Gospel According to Luke 10:25-37 At that time, a lawyer stood up to put Jesus to the test, saying, "Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?" He said to him, "What is written in the law? How do you read?" And he answered, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself." And he said to him, "You have answered right; do this, and you will live." But he, desiring to justify himself, said to Jesus, "And who is my neighbor?" Jesus replied, "A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell among robbers, who stripped him and beat him, and departed, leaving him half dead. Now by chance a priest was going down that road; and when he saw him he passed by on the other side. So likewise a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. But a Samaritan, as he journeyed, came to where he was; and when he saw him, he had compassion, and went to him and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; then he set him on his own beast and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. And the next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper, saying, 'Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, I will repay you when I come back.' Which of these three, do you think, proved neighbor to the man who fell among the robbers?" He said, "The one who showed mercy on him." And Jesus said to him, "Go and do likewise."
THE CONFESSION OF FAITH (Nicene-Constantinopolitan Creed) I believe in one God, Father Almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible.
And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all ages;
Light of Light, true God of true God, begotten, not created, of one essence with the Father through
Whom all things were made. Who for us men and for our salvation came down from heaven
and was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary and became man.
He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate, and suffered and was buried; And He rose on the third day, according to the Scriptures.
He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father; And He will come again with glory to judge the living and dead.
His kingdom shall have no end. And in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Creator of life,
Who proceeds from the Father, Who together with the Father and the Son is worshipped and glorified,
Who spoke through the prophets. In one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church.
I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. I look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the age to come. Amen.

Christmas. Church School also begins collecting for St. Basil's Academy today. Please encourage
your child to "earn" the money they put in the classroom envelope each Sunday. Last year our
students collected $200.00 to give to Father at the cutting of the Vasilopeta in January!
Religious Education Series - Divine Liturgy
A five week religious education series on the Divine Liturgy will be offered by Father Jarrod on Wednesdays at 7 pm. Class began on November 11 and ends on December 16, with the exception of Thanksgiving Eve on November 25. Let us come to learn about the Divine Liturgy, enabling us to understand more about the Divine Service. Attendance at these presentations can be independent of the others. Thus, if one is missed, the following session can still be attended with full understanding.
