Newsletter Editor: Eileen Housfeld November, 2016 Email: [email protected] MDMDC Newsletter A monthly publication of the recent activities and upcoming events of the Mount Diablo Metal Detecting Club The October MDMDC monthly club meeting had a total of 28 attendees. Secretary’s Report – There was no report. Treasurer’s Report – There is $2,500 in the treasury. Vice President’s Report – There was no report The attendance ticket winners were Mark Young and David Wullenweber. Joy Walding won the Silver Dime Raffle. Announcements – We have returned to the Water District Building and the meeting date is now the second Tuesday of the month. The meeting time will remain the same at 7:30 p.m. Old Business – The holiday party will be held on Sunday, December 4 th from 10:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. The cost is $35 per person. There will be a gift exchange, silent auction, and raffle. New Business – There was no new business. The raffle prizes were provided by Ken Housfeld. They included a 1/10 ounce American Eagle won by Mary Roan, silver American eagles, half dollars, and other silver coins. There were 2 hunters at the October mini hunt but it was rained out. The November mini hunt will be held on November 27th. We will meet at the Jack in the Box at 3407 Mt. Diablo Blvd in Lafayette, CA 94549 at 9:00 a.m. The hunt will be run by Gary Collier. His phone number is 925-451-3577. Show and Tell participants included Gary Collier, Jerry Hallett, Mike Walding, Eric Edgren, Zeke Schnapp, and Mary Roan. Gary’s Corner – Gary spoke about hi finds at a new scraped site. They included a 10 cent token from the Klondike area. He also introduced Jack who
