The National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) recentlysubmitted an average 5.7 percent rate decrease in Florida's voluntarymarket to take effect January 1, 2021, for new and renewal workers'compensation policies. On Sept. 4, Gov. Ron DeSantis issued an executive order thatextended his previous order, declaring a public health emergency inFlorida. As a result of this extension, the directive of CFO JimmyPatronis that allows 4-40 licensees to work remotely also has beenextended until Nov. 3, 2020.
