The Prayer Team will be sending out greeting cards to individuals that are in need of prayer.  If you would like a card sent out to someone, please provide their full name and address to Charlotte Fiedler or Sandy Koenig.  This includes any names that are put on the prayer tree. Chair Set-up for Summer Worship Service. Volunteers are needed to help set up chairs in the pavilion for outside worship which began July 2nd. Please sign up for a specific Sunday. The sign-up sheet is posted on the bulletin board. Blood Drive - The summer blood drive with Miller-Keystone is scheduled for August 6th , Sunday, from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.  Collections will be made in the outside coach which will be located in the parking lot. Go to giveapint.org and sign up online. Our event is #4044. Chicken BBQ – August 19, 4 to 6 pm. Cost is $10 per person. Dinner includes 1/2 chicken, corn on the cob, potato salad, applesauce, roll, drink, and dessert. Profits will be split between: Moringa Community student scholarships, Ministries at Main St., and the St. James property maintenance fund. For tickets call 610-489-0990.

Agape Fund "Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another." John 13:34bWe are establishing a pastor’s discretionary fund, called the Agape Fund, to assist those in need. Agape Fund envelopes will be available on the table in the narthex to the left of the main sanctuary doors. Donations to this fund can be placed in the collection plate. The Agape Fund will also be supported through sponsoring the weekly bulletin. If you are sponsoring the bulletin and want to contribute the optional $5.00 donation, please place it in the Agape Fund envelope.

Conference and Local Events

Trinity Church is offering a community and Conference-wide project making as many peace cranes as possible in Remembrance of Hiroshima Day, Sunday,  Aug.  6 to present  on Aug. 13 to staff and students visiting us as part of their American Studies Program at Ursinus College.

2017 Dates: Aug 1, Sep 5, Oct 3, Nov 7, Dec 5 Quiet Days are held at New Goshenhoppen UCC, 1070 Church Road in East Greenville, PA 18041. They are designed to open new avenues of communing with God, and to provide an opportunity for sharing faith journeys and stories. They allow for Sabbath time and renewal in the midst of our busy world. There is no formal registration, but a minimum donation of $5 is requested on Quiet Day. Each participant is asked to bring a Bible, journal, pen and a bag lunch. Come and see what God has in store for you!

Avenues.Free food, games, entertainment, raffles, prizes and more. NNO is a unique crime/drug prevention event sponsored by First UCC, Royersford with the help of the community. Last year’s event involved citizens, law enforcement agencies, civic groups, local businesses, neighborhood organizations, and local officials, and we expect this year to be even bigger!

Its an opportunity for communities to come together to promote police-community partnerships, crime prevention, and neighborhood camaraderie. for more information call the church office at 610-948-9156 or email us at [email protected]. Join us for America’s Night Out against crime!

August 5 – Stewardship Workshop

   Is your church in need of a Stewardship Campaign?   Would you like to learn good Stewardship Principles and Practices?  Would you like to know how to run an effective campaign?     If so, join our Conference Minister, Rev. Bill Worley for this Stewardship training.  Bill  requests you familiarize yourself with the book “Not Your Parents Offering Plate” prior to the workshop.

Tuesday Afternoons – Sewing for a Cause @ Trinity Reformed UCC, Pottstown

Trinity Reformed UCC, 60 N. Hanover Street in Pottstown 19464 teaches low-income and homeless people how to sew on Tuesday afternoons from 2:00 – 3:00pm . If you are a sewer, and would like to share your gifts with others, please contact Barbara Cooper through the church: 610-326-2243.
