What is MVP?

NTEA’s Member Verification Program (MVP)

recognizes eligible companies in the work truck

industry for outstanding business practices,

validating successful implementation of quality

standards.

This program is free to NTEA member

companies.

Candidates must provide documentation that they

meet/exceed a given set of criteria.

Once qualified, companies receive MVP status for a

three-year term.

Upon term completion, companies have the opportunity

to renew by updating the necessary credentials.

platforms (including press release to key media contacts

and promotion in popular NTEA publications)

Honorary plaque and window clings

MVP status helps companies stand out to fleet managers and truck

dealers for their public commitment to quality and excellence.

There is no application fee. NTEA underwrites the cost

as part of an ongoing effort to enhance the core

competencies of its members.

1. NHTSA registration

As a final-stage manufacturer or alterer, you’re

required to register with NHTSA.

Check your company’s listing at vpic.nhtsa.dot.gov.

You can also register there.

Internal quality system with four main parts:

1. Order management system

2. Truck check-in checklist

3. Final inspection checklist

4. Customer delivery checklist

6. Quality assurance program

You’re required to have one

hour of training per employee

per year (maximum 250 credit

hours)

variety of training:

Sales training

Safety training

Installation training

Forklift operator training

Production training

Product training

This optional criteria is common for:

Companies that bid governmental municipalities and other companies

that require a sustainability policy as part of their bid packages

Companies that have recycling programs as part of their organizational

policies

8. Environmental policy

As part of a strong customer satisfaction process, many

companies have after-sale follow-up to help improve their

customer relations and quality.
