~Integrate at least two simulation scenarios into the curriculum for each of the four levels (total of 8) in the Spring 2007 semester

~Continue to develop scenarios based on diagnoses which can be leveled based on a student novice to expert model* based on Benner’s theory of nursing

GRIN helped me /c test & skills; all of the staff is wonderful.

GRIN Project staff are God sent. The ladies @ GRIN are wonderful,

always helpful, make you feel very comfortable about going there.

Communication between teachers & them hasn't always been the same making an inconvenience to the students, who it is supposed to be benefitting.

Experience and knowledge retained from GRIN has helped me greatly.

Grin was extremely helpful this semester

The staff is great. They are always willing to help. They are a valuable asset to the Nursing Program.

The technology is great, & the instructors are very knowledgeable.

They are really nice, & seem to help you anytime you need it & make it to were you can understand

Student Evaluations of Simulation Lab Quarters I, II, and III 2007

A great opportunity to practice in a controlled environment.

After having the opportunity to experience a simulated code…I have gained a better understanding of the entire process.

SimLab was a very informative and educational experience. Going through step by step w/o the pressure of a real setting helps you understand and learn.

This was very educational and I learned more in here doing it than sitting in a classroom reading about it.

I am glad we have this technology & the opportunity to participate.

It helps prepare me for what I might actually come across in a clinical setting.

Can …. hone critical thinking skills where the patient is not at risk.

Believe I will now be much more comfortable when the actual situation arises in the hospital setting.

I was able to see and participate in the procedure at a slower pace than what would happen in a real setting. We were able to talk through it and ask questions.

Liked best: accountability, non- threatening, learning environment; opportunity to use critical thinking skills.

Love this stuff. Extremely hands on. Really excited anytime I get to come here.
