SECTION 2 Cold Form Steel & Lateral Wood | Instructor: Sean FlintPresentation Overview: Lumber decking, Lateral-Force-Resisting Systems, Wood Diaphragms, Nail Patterns, Anchor Bolts & Plate Washers, Cold Formed Steel Light Frame Construction.

SECTION 3 Proprietary Anchors | Instructor: Sean FlintPresentation Overview: 2018 IBC, ACI 318R-14 chapter 17, ACI Installer Certification Program, ICC ESR Evaluation Report, Torque test requirements

SECTION 4 Structural Steel, Bolting & Structural Welding | Instructor: Matthew HancockPresentation Overview: This session will cover updates in the structural welding codes, the new AISC 15th Edition with the latest RCSC, Structural Bolting ASTMs and AWS D1.1:2020.

SECTION 5 Reinforced Concrete, Post-Tensioning & Shotcrete | Instructor: Chris ChristensenPresentation Overview: Reinforced Concrete relevant codes, loads & stresses, ASTM Method: hot & cold weather concreting, reinforced steel identification, sizes & grades, placement requirements, post-tensioning (encapsulation systems & issues, stud rails in lieu of drop caps or grillage) & shotcrete (good nozzling techniques, working around MiraDRAIN & other waterproofing membranes).

SECTION 6 Structural Masonry | Instructor: Chris ChristensenPresentation Overview: This session will cover inspection, construction, movement joints, cold/hot/wet weather construction, reinforcing steel, quality assurance, mortar, grout, concrete block, clay brick and the 2018 IBC.

SECTION 7 Firestopping | Instructor: Chris ChristensenPresentation Overview: 2018 IBC, ASTM E2174 On Site Inspection of Installed Fire Stops, ASTM E2393 On Site Inspection of Installed Fire Resistive Joint Systems & Perimeter Fire Barriers. INSTRUCTOR BIOS

SEAN FLINT | KBA, Inc.Mr. Flint works as an educator in several disciplines of Special Inspection. He began presenting courses for NWCEL Concrete Placement and Batch Plant, Reinforced Concrete, Structural Masonry, Shotcrete, Lateral Wood/Cold Formed Steel Framing Inspection and Proprietary Anchors Inspection. Mr. Flint has also been a supplemental examiner for ACI and WAQTC testing technician certification programs & for the ACI/CRSI Certified Anchor Installer program for contractors in the Puget Sound region.

MATTHEW HANCOCK | Otto Rosenau & AssociatesMr. Hancock has 25 years of experience working in the in the welding industry. His past positions include AWS/ ASME / USCG certified welder, WABO approved welder examiner, and AWS certified welding educator with seven years teaching experience in a local technical college. He is currently an AWS certified welding inspector (CWI), a level II nondestructive testing technician for magnetic particle, liquid dye penetrant, and ultrasonic testing, and is certified by WABO as a special inspector of structural steel and bolting, structural welding, and proprietary anchors. Matthew’s time in the industry and extensive experience and knowledge are well respected in the field.

CHRIS CHRISTENSEN, PE | AAR Testing and Inspection, Inc.Mr. Christensen is a registered professional engineer in Washington, Nevada, Alaska and Utah. He is WABO Technical Director, WABO Supervising Laboratory Technician, WABO Special Inspection Field Supervisor and WABO Registered Special Inspector for Reinforced Concrete, Prestressed Concrete, Shotcrete, Structural Masonry, Structural Bolting, Structural Welding, Sprayed-Applied Fire Resistive Materials and Proprietary Anchors. He has been working in the inspection industry for 28 years with experience in all special inspection categories. Chris is also responsible for administering the WAQTC consultant program for the State of Washington, which includes teaching 8-10 courses per year.

2. NWCEL WILL SEND RECERT MATERIAL TO LAB FOR DISTRIBUTION – DEADLINE BY SEPT 14TH

NOTE: MATERIAL WILL NOT BE SENT UNTIL PAYMENT IS RECEIVED. DEADLINES WILL STILL

APPLY.

3. LAB WILL SEND SEMINAR PACKET TO THEIR REGISTERED EMPLOYEES. IT IS THE LABS

RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR EMPLOYEES TO WATCH THE ENTIRE VIDEO AND TAKE EXAM. – ASAP

4. LAB WILL SEND COMPLETED EXAMS AS A ZIP FILE TO THANH KIEU – DEADLINE BY OCT 1ST

5. CERTIFICATES WITH CEU WILL BE SENT OUT – DEADLINE BY OCT 15TH
