Joe graduated from the University of Southern California with a BFA in Theater under the chairmanship of John Houseman. He successfully juggles the roles of Choreographer, Director, Producer,

Teacher, and Entrepreneur. As the Executive Director and Choreographer for New York City Theatrical Events, Joe has produced, directed, and choreographed countless live industrial shows and special events. Clients have ranged from IBM and Schering-Plough to Rite-Aid and Tupperware. His choreography has been featured everywhere from soap operas to MTV, Off-Broadway to stages around the world- including Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, and Edinburgh Theater Festival. He was on the original creative staff for the hit TV series, CLUB MTV on the MTV Network. He has worked with such stars as Bill Cosby, Diahann Carroll, and Broadway greats Andrea McArdle, Lee Roy Reams, Lorna Luft, and Lucie Arnaz. He has produced entertainment extravaganzas for international events and heads of states from Washington DC to Istanbul, Turkey to Tokyo, Japan to Zambia, Africa. He has created, directed/choreographed dozens of critically acclaimed conceptual song/dance revues, special events, and New Year’s Eve Spectaculars for many of the Atlantic City Casinos- mainly the Trump Taj Mahal, the Atlantic City Hilton, and the Tropicana. Joe’s dynamic style and explosive choreography have established him as a driving force in the shaping of New York City dance style. He has been the topic of many articles in various dance publications- including the cover story of the nationally recognized Dance Teacher Now. He has been invited to serve on the faculty of many international arts centers- Mexico, Japan, Turkey, Italy, Denmark and more! He regularly serves on the faculty of the Jazz Dance World Congress. Joe enjoys traveling the country, nurturing the next generation of dancers and discovering new talent. His students grace the stages of virtually every show currently running on Broadway. He is always cultivating new projects and special events, often utilizing the talents of NYCDA dancers. He continues to teach in New York City at Steps on Broadway and has served on the prestigious faculty of The Julliard School since 1992.

JOE LANTERISUZI TAYLOR An internationally recognized master teacher and choreographer, Suzi has

been training professional and aspiring young dancers for the past 20 years. Combining her talents as dancer, teacher, and choreographer, she has been invited to teach, perform, and adjudicate at 5 national dance festivals in Rio de Janiero, at the esteemed Theater An Der Wein School in Vienna, at ABT star Julio Bocca’s school for Ballet Argentina in Buenos Aires, in numerous workshops throughout Italy, Japan, France and Canada, and has set works on companies in Scotland, Israel, Italy and Brazil. She has been a faculty member at 4 of the biggest NYC studios, currently and for the past 20 years at Steps on Broadway. She is sought after to teach and lecture at universities, schools, and organizations across the U.S., and is proud to have been with NYCDA since its inception.

JOEY DOWLING Joey has been performing, choreographing and teaching in NYC and internationally for the past 16 years. She grew up dancing at her mother’s studio and then attended NYU Tisch School of the Arts on a Dance/Academic Scholarship. Her Film/TV credits include: “Chicago”, “The Producers”, “Rock of Ages”, “So You Think You Can Dance” (Choreographer), “Smash”, “MTV Video Music Awards”, “VH1 Vogue Fashion Awards”, “Sex & the City” and the upcoming film, “Winter’s Tale” starring Colin Farrell. Her performance credits include: “Sweet Charity” (Broadway), “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” (Broadway), “Dance of The Vampires” (Broadway), “The Mambo Kings” (Broadway), “In The Heights” (Associate Choreographer - Broadway), Encore’s summer series production of “The Wiz” and Mariah Carey’s “Butterfly” World Tour. She’s currently on faculty at PACE University in NYC. Her love of fashion and dance inspired her and sister Jacki to create a dancewear line called Jo+Jax, www.joandjax.com. SCOTT JOVOVICH Scott has performed as a principal Dancer with such companies as The Joffrey Ballet, The Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, The Northern Ballet (England), The Universal Ballet (Korea), Ballet Arizona, and the Lar Lubovitch Dance Company. He was featured in the Tony Award winning musicals, “Jerome Robbins Broadway” and “Fosse”, as well as appearing in “Once Upon A Mattress” and “Carousel” on Broadway. Scott has directed and choreographed for nightclubs, musical theatre, ballet, and commercials across the country. In addition, he is starting a production company called JovoDance which will include his costume/dancewear company. As a teacher he has been on the faculty of The Joffrey School, The Rock School of The Pennsylvania Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School, University of the Arts, and currently PACE University in NYC.

ANDY PELLICK Andy originally hails from Pittsburgh, PA, but has called New York his home for well over a decade. Recently performed Off-Broadway in “Fuerzabruta”, he has also danced in the original Broadway casts of “Wicked”, “Tarzan”, “La Cage Aux Folles”, and “Dance of the Vampires”. He also performed Off-Broadway in “De La Guarda”. Film credits include “The Polar Express”, “Show Business” and the new film, “Winter’s Tale”. He has appeared on “The David Letterman Show”, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the “VH1 Vogue Fashion Awards”, “Broadway: The Golden Age”, and “The Tony Awards”. Before moving to New York, Andy’s first job was to be the understudy for Tommy Tune in “EFX” at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, where he was also a featured dancer. When not performing, Andy fills his time teaching and choreographing across the country. He feels blessed to work with the upcoming generation of dancers, and loves being a part of such an incredible community!

ANDY BLAKENBUEHLER Andy made his directorial debut for “Bring It On the Musical”, for which he earned a Tony nomination for choreography. On Broadway, Andy has also choreographed “In The Heights” (Tony, Outer Critics and Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Choreography) “9 to 5” (Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critcs nominations), the 2012 revival of “Annie”, the revival of “The Apple Tree” starring Kristen Chenoweth, and the City Center revival of “The Wiz”. Other musicals include: “Desperately Seeking Susan” (London), as well as the world premiere productions of “Waiting for the Moon” (music by Frank Wildhorn) and “A Little Princess” (music by Andrew Lippa). He has staged concert work for both Elton John and Bette Midler, and he conceived, directed and choreographed the hit Caesars Palace production “Nights on Broadway”. Andy appears as a guest choreographer on “So You Think You Can Dance”. Broadway performing credits include: “Fosse”, “Contact”, “Man of LaMancha”, “Saturday Night Fever”, “Steel Pier”, “Big” and “Guys and Dolls”. Currently Andy is working on the upcoming Broadway production of “FLY” and the National Tour of “Joseph...”. Andy lives in New York City with his wife and two children, Luca and Sofia.

KIM CRAVEN Kim began dancing in LA at Westside Ballet, spending summers at San Francisco Ballet School and School of American Ballet, and moving to NYC at 17 to study at SAB fulltime. She joined Pennsylvania Ballet Company at 19, dancing in a wide repertoire of ballets. Her interest in acting, singing, and other dance styles brought her back to LA for work in TV, film, and commercials. She returned to NY for her first Broadway show and worked there since. Credits include: “On the Town” (Dance Captain), “Swing!” (Supervisor), “Mamma Mia”(Dance Captain – 1st National Tour and Vegas), “Movin’ Out” (Supervisor – 1st National Tour; Associate Choreographer/Director - London), “Times They Are A-Changin’” (Resident Director), “Sinatra Dance with Me”(Supervisor – Vegas) and “Come Fly Away” (Resident Director). Regionally: Associate Choreographer – “Tin Pan Alley Rag”, “The Full Monty”, and “Damn Yankees”. She is currently Associate Choreographer on “Honeymoon in Vegas”.

TONY TESTA Tony started dancing at 8 years old, studying tap, ballet, jazz, contemporary, breakdance, and hip-hop in his hometown of Fort Collins, CO. From an early age he assisted the classes that his mom would teach, and soon enough he had unveiled his true passion for choreography. Now at 26, his work has brought him collaborations with Janet Jackson, Kylie Minogue, Britney Spears, Demi Lovato, 1 Direction, Nicki Minaj, David Guetta, Versace, Sketchers, Toyota, The Voice UK, Disney, Nickelodeon, and with Michael Jackson on his final project, “This Is It”. In addition to his career in the pop industry, Tony is now beginning to use choreography to bring social awareness and promote positive transformation. His recent installations at the LACMA Museum & TEDx were both for the sole purpose of raising awareness about the devastating consequences of over-fishing.

Leah brings a unique combination of artistic and administrative talents to her position as Managing Director of NYCDA & Theatrical Events. Her years as a professional dancer in NYC musical theatre include the Lincoln Center production of “Anything Goes”, in which she served as dance captain and was the associate in the restaging of the Tony-award winning choreography for London’s West End. She additionally performed in many other productions, including “Gypsy”, “42nd St.” and “Singing in the Rain”. Prior to starting NYCDA with Joe, Leah was a principle manager at Steps on Broadway in NYC where she directed the Young Peoples Dance Program as well as Scholarship Program for pre-professional dance students. Leah is a cum laude with honors graduate of Butler University and has two beautiful daughters, Cassidy and Austin.

CINDY SALGADO Born in Sunnyvale, California, Cindy Salgado trained in multiple styles of dance and continues to explore a range of inspirations. After graduating from the Juilliard School in 2005, with the Princess Grace Award, she began freelancing in New York. She danced for Aszure Barton & Artists on projects such as “Busk” and Mikhail Baryshnikov’s “Hell’s Kitchen Dance Tour”. She has also worked with Andy Blankenbuehler (“The Wiz”, “In The Heights” and “Bring It On”), Mia Michaels (SYTYCD), Cirque du Soleil (Delirium), Anna Vissi in Greece and Peter Chu (ChuThis). She has taught and choreographed for dance schools throughout the US, and has been a guest teacher at Santa Clara University. She is a cofounder and teacher for ASTEP, an outreach organization that provides arts programming for underserved children internationally. Cindy is honored to currently dance for Crystal Pite’s company, Kidd Pivot, and has been with the company since 2009.

DANA WILSON Dana is currently on tour with Justin Timberlake- you may have seen her featured! She has worked on film, (“Shrek 4”,”Charlie Wilson’s War”) commercials (Verizon, Travelzoo, Reese’s) and countless music videos. You’ve seen her on “SNL”, “Ellen”, “Dancing with the Stars”, “America’s Got Talent”, “Jimmy Fallon”, and “American Idol”. Dana also appeared as a choreographer on SYTYCD Season 7. Dana has worked with many recording artists from Justin Timberlake, Justin Beiber, Britney Spears, to Earth Wind & Fire, The Backstreet Boys, and Joe Jonas. On and off the clock, Dana is a leading voice in her community, as Dancers’ Alliance Board member, SAG/AFTRA Ambassador, and creator of her very own Dance Industry webseries called “More Than Moves TV”. She is an admirer and student of movement with a soft spot for dance history, and a finger on the pulse of the future of the dance industry.

CHLOE ARNOLD NY and LA based Chloe Arnold, is the Co-Founder of Chloe & Maud Productions DC Tap Festival, Co-director of the Los Angeles Tap Festival and Director/Choreographer of her female tap company, Syncopated Ladies. Chloe has performed on SYTYCD, “Dancing with the Stars”, “America’s Got Talent”, and will be on this season of HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire”. Recent credits include: Beyoncé’s Pepsi & H&M Commercials, co-starring in Debbie Allen’s “Alex in Wonderland”, Jason Samuel Smith’s “Charlie’s Angels”, co-producing the documentary “Tap World”, launching her web travel series, “Chloe’s World” and choreographing for Canon and the Jerry Lewis Telethon. Film/TV appearances include: The Discovery Channel’s “Time Warp”, CW’s “The Parkers”, “One on One”, Nickelodeon’s “Brothers Garcia” and the feature film “Make Your Move 3D”. MELISSA HOUGH Melissa began her career as a Dance Alliance kid! She won the Junior, Teen and Senior National Outstanding Dancer awards while competing with Dance Explosion, located in Glen Burnie, MD. She also trained at the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, DC. She has since gone on to be a Principal Dancer with Boston Ballet, First Soloist with Houston Ballet and most recently joined the Norwegian National Ballet in Oslo, Norway. Along with her accomplishments as a dancer, she has also choreographed for the Boston Ballet, Houston Ballet and Oregon Ballet Theater. In 2011, she was the recipient of the New York Choreographic Institute Fellowship and was commissioned to make a work for Houston Ballet’s 2013-2014 Season. Hough teaches ballet and contemporary for New York City Dance Alliance and is thrilled to contribute to the same organization that inspired her so much when she was a young dancer.

TAJA RILEY Taja trained at Denise Wall’s Dance Energy and at age 15, won the NYCDA National Teen Outstanding Dancer title. She continued to follow her dreams by moving to LA and has since worked with Mia Michaels, Travis Wall, and Brian Friedman, assisting them on the hit television show “So You Think You Can Dance” and winning an Emmy for the infamous “Addiction” piece. Film and TV credits include “For Colored Girls”, “Happy Feet 2”, “Glee”, “The X-Factor USA”, and Oxygen’s “All the Right Moves”. Taja has also assisted with choreography for Britney Spears (Femme Fatale Tour), Demi Lovato (Skyscraper Tour), and Beyoncé (Mrs. Carter Tour), and has danced for Janet Jackson, Ne-Yo, Kanye West, 50 Cent, Pitbull, Bruno Mars, The Wanted, Chris Brown and many others.

COREY SNIDE Corey John Snide started training in Albany, NY at the age of 3 in all styles of dance competing across the states. At the age of 13, he started his professional career portraying the role of Billy Elliot in “Billy Elliot the Musical” on the West End and Australian stages. After a year and a half abroad, he came home to NYC to work appearing in “13 the Musical” on Broadway, ABC’s “One Life to Live” as a dancer in their annual musical, and other guest roles on ABC, NBC and more. Since then, he decided to continue his training at the Juilliard School, Class of 2015 performing works by Jose Limon, Murray Louis, Monica Bill Barnes, and Emery LeCrone.

JARED GRIMES Jared is an Astaire Award recipient for “Best Male Dancer” for his role in Broadway’s “After Midnight”. He was also the Associate Choreographer for the recent Broadway Musical “Holler If Ya Hear Me”. Jared has danced alongside legends such as Gregory Hines, Wynton Marsalis, Mariah Carey, Barack Obama and popular artist like Busta Rhymes, Common, and Salt N Peppa. Stage credits include Cirque Du Soleil’s “Banana Shpeel”, choreographed by himself, “Babes in Arms” at the Goodspeed Opera House, “Stormy Weather” with Leslie Uggams, “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes”, directed by John Rando, “Twist” directed by Debbie Allen, “Cotton Club Parade” directed by Warren Carlyle and “Broadway Underground” directed by himself. Grimes has appeared in commercials for MTV, Coca-Cola and Subway and television shows such as Fox’s “Fringe” and HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire”. His feature film credits include “Little Manhattan”, “First Born”, starring Elizabeth Shue and “The Marc Pease Experience” starring Ben Stiller.

MELINDA SULLIVAN Melinda began tap dancing at age four, and turned professional at 14. National Tours: CATS & Disney’s “High School Musical”. Company Work Includes: Jazz Tap Ensemble, Tapsounds Underground, Anybody Can Get It (under the direction of Jason Samuels Smith), Syncopated Ladies & the New York Song & Dance Company. Melinda is best known for her work as a finalist on SYTYCD Season 7. Additional credits include GLEE, Dancing with the Stars and many others. As a choreographer, Melinda was named “25 to Watch” in 2013 by Dance Magazine. She was the first woman and tap dancer to win the CAPEZIO ACE AWARD. Melinda is also a recipient of a 2013 World Dance Award. Melinda is on faculty at the Colburn School in Downtown Los Angeles. She has guest taught at Broadway Dance Center, LA Tap Festival, Vancouver International Tap Festival, Pasadena Dance Festival, UCLA, MISI Escuela Teatro Musical in Bogota, Colombia and the Taipei Tap Festival. RACHEL KREILING Rachel is a current member of Alison Chase/Performance (led by Alison Chase, founder of Pilobolus Dance Theater). Native of Pittsburgh, PA, she began performing around the world at 18, as a featured adage dancer at Tokyo Disney and performed throughout northern Europe as an adage partner and aerialist on Silver Seas Cruises. Rachel serves on the faculty of NYCDA, Onstage New York, and guest teaches workshops around the US. Also a Certified Pilates Trainer, she is currently developing and installing cross-training movement programs for pre-professional & professional dancers, movement educators, and athletes focusing on neuromuscular development training, performance enhancement, injury prevention, and rehabilitation. Rachel was also an assistant and the head of our “Ready, Set, Dance” program from 2005-2010. Other credits include: Rasta Thomas’ “ROCK The Ballet” (Principal Dancer), “Revolution” (Dance Captain-Joyce Theater & US Tour), Bryn Cohn & Co., Bad Boys of Dance, and New York Theatrical Events.

KENNY EASTER Born and raised in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Kenny received his professional training in San Francisco and at the Boston Ballet. He has had a diverse ballet career. Kenny has performed with the San Francisco Ballet, Boston Ballet, Miami City Ballet, and Ballet Arizona. In 2003 he joined the American Ballet Theatre. Kenny credits much of his success to his two most important teachers, Joan Miller and Kee Whan Han. Kenny was featured in the filming of Swan Lake with ABT in 2005 at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. and appeared in the movie Black Swan with Natalie Portman. Kenny serves as a guest teacher all over the U.S. and internationally, and serves on faculty at the ABT Summer Program in Bermuda. He enjoys working with young dancers and seeks out opportunities to teach and choreograph, nurturing this new talent.

MARTHA NICHOLS Martha recently finished Rhianna’s Diamonds world tour. Other notable performance credits include Kylie Minogue’s Aphrodite Les Follies world tour as a dancer and ariel specialist, Season 2 of SYTYCD as a top 5 Female, US tour of SYTYCD, featured dancer in the film “The Marc Pease Experience” with Ben Stiller, and Cirque Du Soleil’s “Believe” in Las Vegas, choreographed by Wade Robson. TV credits include NICKELODEON, FOX’s “Mobbed” with Howie Mandel, ‘’America’s Got Talent”, “Dancing with the Stars” with Christina Aguilera, Macy’s “Stars of Dance” with Corbin Bleu directed by Kenny Ortega, “X-Factor”, the hit Italian TV show “Amici” and The 39th American Music Awards with Nicki Minaj and David Guetta. Martha is a member of the Unity LA Dance Ensemble. Martha teaches all over the world and assisted Tony Testa for Demi Lovato’s US Tour, as well as Tabitha & Napoleon, Mandy Moore & Mia Michaels with various projects.

GRACE BUCKLEY Grace grew up dancing in and around New York City before heading to Colgate University for college. Since graduating from Colgate University in 2007, Grace has dedicated her time to working and training as a dancer in NYC. When she is not traveling, she continues to focus on her training and work as a guest teacher/choreographer around the country, most recently debuting her choreography at the Joyce Theater this past April. Grace has performed as a member of DeMa Dance Company in Brooklyn, NY, Willow Oak Contemporary Ballet in Louisiana, and is currently on tour with Rasta Thomas’s Bad Boys of Dance.

COMPLexIONS SuMMeR INTeNSIVe:Each weekend one dancer will be

accepted into this summer program in NYC- and receive a partial scholarship. Under the direction of

Desmond Richardson, Complexions seeks to educate the complete dancer- participants experience

techniques designed to cultivate and develop strong, well-trained, dancers who are educated to

perform more skillfully and creatively.

STePS ON BROADWAY SuMMeR INTeNSIVe: Each weekend one

talented dancer is automatically accepted to the Summer Intensive at the internationally professional

school, STEPS on Broadway in NYC. With this recognition comes a $800 stipend towards the tuition.

NYCDA TRIPLe THReAT AWARDS: Each weekend a select number

of dancers will be automatically accepted into the NYCDA 2015 Summer Dance Intensive.

Dancers must demonstrate their versatility and work ethic throughout the convention

weekend. This award also includes their “nomination” for one of eight $500 merit

scholarships towards the tuition.

NYCDA “DIReCT CONNeCT”: Each weekend NYCDA will “scout” talent

for current professional projects/opportunities and connect the dancers with the appropriate

casting directors/administrators. “All registered Workshop dancers will be considered for

these Special Opportunities and Awards. No special audition required.

• An elimination round may occur during the audition class. • At the completion of the audition class, doors will be open to all students and observers for the

• All ages are as of January 1, 2015 for the entire 2014-2015 season, including Nationals.• To reach the average age of an entry, add all the ages together and divide by the number of dancers in

the entry. After averaging age, DROP THE DECIMAL to come up with the competition age for the entry. For example: An entry whose average age is 10.7 will compete as age 10. Names, ages and birthdates of all dancers must appear on the entry form or it will not be accepted. All competing dancers must be prepared to present proof of age should a question arise.

• Competing dancers must be at least 7 years of age. (Ready, Set, Dance! dancers may compete as long as the average age of the entry remains 7+.)

• The average age of each entry may not drop more than one age division below the age of the oldest dancer in the entry, regardless of the actual average age. Example: If an entry contains dancers ranging in age from 9-18, the entry may not compete younger than 13-15 (one division younger than the oldest dancer-18).

PeRFoRmaNCe DIvIsIoNsJAZZ consists of primarily jazz technique, utilizing uptempo music.BALLET consists of ballet or pointe technique. Must include classical steps and movements.TAP consists of tap technique. Tap shoes only.LYRICAL consists of jazz and ballet technique - emphasizing strength, control, and interpretation.MUSICAL THEATRE consists of Broadway/theatre dance styles.CONTEMPORARY consists of modern and ballet technique, reaching beyond the standard jazz vocabulary.HIP-HOP consists of street, funk, MTV video style jazz technique.SPECIALTY consists of ethnic, acro/gynmastics, novelty, etc. OPEN consists of all other categories.Judges reserve the right to change the competing dancers category if the number has been entered improperly.

• All competing dancers and their teachers, must be registered for the entire workshop at the city where competing.

• All competition fees are per person, per entry.• An official entry form (copies OK) must be submitted for each entry.• Competing dancers may enter as many categories as desired, as long as they never compete

against themselves.• Competing dancers may compete for one studio only.• Schools with multiple locations may compete as separate studios as long as there is NO mixing of

dancers from each location. No combining of dancers allowed for extra discounts for National Season Finale! Registration.

• Competing dancers may compete in more than one city. However, if an entry wins a gold, high gold or platinum NYCDA award in a regional, that entry cannot compete in another NYCDA regional.

• 2014-2015 Regional Critics’ Choice Award winning entries may not compete again in 2014-2015.• Entries that have performed in either 2014 National Gala may not compete during the 2014-2015

Regional Season. • Professional dancers are welcome for the workshop but will not be permitted to compete if

over age 18.• Soloists do not need to be entered in a group, line, or production in order to compete. Soloists

must have a registered teacher for the workshop.• Individual dancers may not compete more than 2 different solos per weekend.• Registered Teachers may only compete in the Open (19+) age division.• The deadline for competition changes is 2 weeks prior to the convention. No changes will be

accepted after this date.• SETS/PROPS: Studios are responsible for the transportation, storage, set up and removal of all

sets and props. Check with each venue, as fees and restrictions may apply. The use of any “set piece” will require the submission of a SETS & PROPS form. Contact the NYCDA office for details.

• No dangerous props may be used during the competition (swords, fire, etc.). General props are allowed but must be taken on and off stage expeditiously. Any unnecessary delay will result in a point deduction. Have a clean-up crew ready for any “litter” left on stage.

• Excessive scenery and special lighting may only be utilized with pre-approval from NYCDA.• Tap sounds on recordings of tap entries will result in 5 pt. deduction.• Entry numbers containing more than 2 gymnastic passes MUST be entered in the Specialty

OR Open category. Otherwise, 5 points will be deducted and the entry will be moved to the appropriate category.

• Competing dancers should be ready 30 minutes prior to their scheduled competition time. If the competition is running ahead of schedule, you will be expected to perform.

• Competing dancers must perform in the scheduled sequence unless special permission is granted by the M.C. Intentional manipulation of performance schedule will result in disqualification.

• All dancers and their teachers are expected to demonstrate good sportsmanship and general support of all participants.

• Choreography/costumes that are not considered age appropriate by the judges will have 10 pts. deducted from the total score.

• Any studio, dancer or parent that abuses the designated dressing area will be disqualified. All participants are responsible for cleaning their area and properly disposing of all garbage.

• No NYCDA faculty will be permitted to judge their own choreography. Their score will be dropped and the entry will not be eligible for any High Score or Critics’ Choice Awards.

The NYCDA Summer Dance Intensive will accept a limited enrollment of aspiring professional dancers ages 14-19. Admittance is granted by online audition/application.• All 2014-2015 NYCDA Regional Outstanding Dancer Scholarship Winners and Runners-Up are automatically accepted to the program.*• All 2014-2015 NYCDA Regional Convention Triple Threat Scholarship Winners are automatically accepted to the program.*• All 2015 ONSTAGE NY Regional Title Winners are automatically accepted to the program.*

APPLICATION GUIDELINESAll prospective NYCDA Summer Dance Intensive students must provide the following via online application:• Completed application form• Photo or headshot with a resumé, if available• 2 letters of recommendation from dance instructors or qualified dance professionals• Video (required of all dancers in attendance for audition/placement)• Copy of Birth Certificate• Non-refundable Application Fee of $35.00• 1”x1” photo for identification card

LOCATION Pace University (1 Pace Plaza, New York, NY)Pace University’s New York City campus is located in the heart of lower Manhattan and serves as an intellectual and cultural focal point for one of the city’s most dynamic and vital areas.• Dorm rooms with bathrooms on each floor • Free Laundry on each floor • 24 hour security and safe deposit boxes • Air conditioning in each room • Check-in is Sunday, July 26th. Check-out is Monday, August 10th.

NyCda will provide live-in chaperones. a 10:30 PM curfew will be enforced for all dancers.

VIDEO AUDITION GUIDELINES all video audition must include the following:• Video intro of dancer stating name, age, and all material presented on the video.• Ballet - (required) Present both a short adagio and grande allegro combination demonstrating control, line, extension, jumps and turns.• Jazz - (required) Present short jazz and/or lyrical/contemporary combination.• Solo performance piece is not required but may be submitted.

Up to three different solos may be p resented to demonstrate a variety of styles - 3 minutes max each.• Tap - not required but must be submitted if interested in the Tap classes.• Singing - not required but should be submitted. All dancers will participate in some level of

Vocal Training classes. Include live vocal presentation of a Broadway uptempo and ballad.• Maximum video length is 15 minutes.

Tuition with Room and Board: $3600* Tuition Alone (includes Lunch Daily): $3000*

*Includes admission to a Broadway show and potentially other performances.

TUITION• The NYCDA Summer Dance Intensive will be limited to 100 dancers.• All dancers will be notified by May 11, 2015.• A 25% tuition deposit will be due by May 26, 2015. Second payment will be due by June 9, 2015.

Full tuition will be due by June 30, 2015.• No refunds will be made after June 30, 2015. Refunds prior June 30, 2015 will be subject to a 10%

administrative fee. a very limited number of scholarships will be made available based upon financial need. those applying for scholarships should include a letter indicating need and copies of the last two years parental tax returns. all Convention triple threat Winners will be considered for 1 of 8 $500 scholarships –based solely on merit as demonstrated by their application materials.
