This is our learning journey for week 4. We have added some suggestions of activities you could do with your children at home.

times and can you spot which ‘o’ clock times matches which clock face?

- When finished, use sheet 2 to make your own clock face – you will need to carefully cut out the clock face, minute and hour hands. Alternatively, ask your grown-up to help you to draw a clock face, complete with the numbers 1-12 and a minute and hour hand. You can use blue-tack or a split pin to attach the hands to your clock.

- Use the PowerPoint to make different ‘o’ clock times with your clock.

- Use sheet 3 to practice telling the time to the hour, by matching the clock time to the clock face.

- Start by playing a game of ‘o’ Clock Bingo – sheet 4. Can your grown-up call out some times e.g. 5 ‘o’ Clock or 10 ‘o’ Clock and you try to spot the clock face which matches that time on your bingo board. See if you can cross off all of the clocks on your bingo board, when your grown up calls them out!

- Use sheet 5 to practice writing ‘o’ clock times and to practice drawing the hands on some clocks. Remember that the hour hand is the short hand and the minute hand is the long hand.

- Watch this educational video about telling the time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5TA5z_DE204

some half past times? Ask you grown-up to call out some half past times for you to make with your clock e.g. half past 3 or half past 7?

- Use sheet 6 to practice writing ‘o’ clock and half past times and to practice drawing the hands on some clocks. Remember that the hour hand is the short hand and the minute hand is the long hand.
