Dear Friends,
Peace and all good!
The parable in today’s gospel really challenges us about being attentive and responsive to God’s invitation. The king invited his friends and family to a wedding but none of them come. The king then turns around and invites all kinds of people to his party. He wanted people to celebrate with and to share the joy of the day. God is like that. God wants all people to celebrate with him the joy of love, togetherness and being in God’s kingdom. God invites ALL of us to be in relationship with God! God sent Jesus to tell everyone that they are invited to be with God forever. Throughout the week, reflect on how we share God’s kingdom with other people. We can share God’s love with people in so many ways! At Assumption Regional Catholic School, we are keenly aware that we have been invited to be a part of God’s kingdom! That is worth celebrating and sharing! Last week we had our opening of school liturgy and installation of student council officers. While only Grades 6 – 8 were physically in church, we were able to live-stream liturgy to the classrooms. While this is not as good as all of us being together, we are certainly blessed to be able to come together for liturgy, which is the greatest prayer of our Church. Congratulations are extended to our 2020 2021 Student Council! We are confident that they will serve our school and local community well throughout the year. Officers: President: Myles Elefante; Vice-President: Morgan Mastro; Secretary: Mia Simone; Treasurer: Jason Marcelin; 8A Representative: Gabe Hessert; 8B Respresentative: Ella Jenkins. Class Respresentatives: 7A: Peter Martin and Justin Yon; 7B: Lex Gall and Mikayla Nash; 6A: Brandon Landicini and Mary Lynn; 6B: Raleigh Carroll and Ava Vandenberg; 5A: Lilliana Harbright and Grace Napolitano; 5B: Mollyanne Flammer and Belle Pecan. On Saturday, October 17 and October 24, ARCS will be sponsoring an outdoor Craft Fair in the parking lot from 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM. We hope that you can join us! Please bring a mask! As always, thank you for your support of Assumption Regional Catholic School. We could not do what we do without you! Be assured that you are held in our prayer each and every day! Many blessings,
Joan Dollinger
