Dear Brothers and Sisters in the Lord, Welcome to Sacred Heart Church! It is a blessing to have you join our Sacred Heart community as we celebrate our Eucharistic Liturgy for the 24th Sunday in Ordinary Time. Your presence and prayerful participation enrich all who join us.
May this sacred time calm your spirit and strengthen your faith. Hopefully on Sunday, after the Masses, you are able to come over to Everett Hall for some refreshments. I also invite you to visit the 2nd floor of Everett Hall to view the fresh paint in the classrooms and hallway. Volunteers from the Knights of Columbus spent many hot nights brightening up the 2nd floor. Thanks, Knights! You can also stop into the renovated gym that makes no doubt that you have entered Sacred Heart gym. Check it out. This Wednesday I invite you to an evening of prayer and discussion on sin in the Church. Join us in the Church for prayer at 7:00 p.m. followed by a video and discussion in the MKD room. Next Sunday I hope you are able to participate in our annual parish picnic from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. On the school parking lot will be a variety of moon bounces, with arts and crafts on the church lot, and lots of food in Everett Hall. Check out today’s bulletin for more information. On Wednesday, September 26 at 7:00 p.m. our Bereavement Group begins its six week program assisting those dealing with the death of a loved one. We discuss the grief process and share our common stories around mourning the absence of a loved one. If you know someone grieving a loved one’s death,
invite them to join us. If you are grieving, join us. All are welcome! Hope your week is pleasant! Be well! God bless!
