76% For over 40 years, Sineu Graff has been supporting town planners and designers and paying close attention to changes in the use of urban spaces. While towns today are perfectly functio-nal, and their safety, mobility and cleanliness needs are being met, inhabitants feel they lack meeting places and centres of conviviality in the public space.

People tend to fill that gap by turning to commercial areas. Shopping centres, cafés, restaurants and cinemas have become places where town-dwellers choose to meet each other. In order to foster conviviality in public spaces, Sineu Graff has imagined a large Street Table around which people can sit, share a meal or just take a break. Our ambition is to offer solutions that will foster new uses, help the population develop innovative forms of collective city life and promote greater social cohesion. Creating happier towns.

In order to support current behaviours and lifestyles, Sineu Graff has created a whole range of furniture that springs from the Street Table, called Link: picnic decks, standing table and seats sets and low tables. Many metres of conviviality To develop conviviality in the public space, Sineu Graff aturally turned its attention to the table, which is spontaneously associated with meeting and sharing.

The Street Table has been designed to breathe life into towns and make room for exchange. It breaks with the codes of urban furniture and appeals to inhabitants in an immobile architectural environment. The Street Table is designed for living spaces, meeting zones (with reduced traffic speed) and new eco-districts, to make these areas more desirable, and to make up for their density.

The furniture is universal and easy to understand as regards its use. People come to it immediately for their lunch break, or to sit for a while, alone or with friends and family.

Vivre ensembleLa Table de la rue a été conçue pour satisfaire toutes les exigences du vivre ensemble : ses assises indépendantes favorisent l’accessibilité. Il n’est plus nécessaire d’enjamber la ban- quette. Les assises sont disposées librement de chaque côté de la table, avec la possibilité de laisser un accès libre pour intégrer un fauteuil roulant ou une poussette. Tout le monde est réuni autour d’une table aux proportions généreuses. Rien n’est figé, toutes les configurations sont à inventer pour donner une vraie place à chacun.

Sineu Graff a développé la Table de la rue en collaboration avec le designer éco-logique Philippe Riehling. Il propose une relecture contemporaine de la table de pique-nique qui lui apporte sobriété, élégance et convivialité pour une intégration efficace dans tous types d’environnements. Si les matériaux (frêne et acier galvanisé) rendent hommage à ce classique des campagnes et des espaces verts, ici les lignes s’étirent et dessinent une continuité visuelle qui s’accentue avec la multiplication des mobiliers. Dans une logique d’éco-conception le design limite la consommation de matière par des formes simples et optimise les transports en imbriquant les assises à l’intérieur de la table.

Community lifeThe Street Table has been designed to meet all the requirements for community life: its seats are independent and therefore more accessible. There is no need to climb over a bench. The seats can be placed freely along the sides of the table, with the possibility to leave a clear area to accommodate a wheelchair or pushchair. Everybody can sit around a table with generous proportions. Nothing is immovable, and configurations can be invented to give each member a place.

Street TableThe Street Table can be extended infinitely with its modular system: the initial module is 2 metres long, and any number of 2-metre extensions can be added to it as required. The seats are placed freely around the table.

Sineu Graff has developed the Street Table in collaboration with the environmental designer Philippe Riehling. The idea is to revisit and update the picnic table, making it clean, elegant and convivial for effective integration into all types of environment. While the materials (ash and galvanised steel) pay homage to the classic picnic tables of the country and green spaces, the long lines of the Street Table allow visual continuity that becomes stronger as the number of furniture items increases. In accordance with the eco-design approach, the consumption of material is reduced through simple shapes, and transport is optimised by nesting the seats inside the table.

The Street Table has inspired a complete furniture range: LINK. In collaboration with Philippe Riehling, we have developed furniture that can support other urban uses and tone with a number of environments.

Picnic deckThe picnic deck is made up of wooden decking and a low table. It is reminiscent of family picnics, adding the convenience of a table and a clean and durable sitting area. When placed on a lawn, a picnic deck organises the space and gives users an incentive to protect planted areas by using the furniture provided.

Standing table and seats setA standing table and seats set is made up of a standing table and seats. It is designed for short breaks, eating a sandwich or taking a coffee in the open air. Standing table and seats sets can include two or three seats depending on the space available.

Low tableThe Street Table can provide a more intimate space made up of a low table and two seats. This set creates a small sitting room, a private area in the public space.
