OFBJP Canada hosts ‘NaMo Chai’ at Guelph, Ontario

The Overseas Friends of BJP launched OFBJP Canada local chapter of Western Ontario under the leadership of Parth Pandya and Pankajbhai (Peter) Patel at the ‘NaMo Chai’ event organized on March 16, 2014, at the Community Center, Guelph, Ontario. Dr. Azad Kaushik and Shri Pankaj Dave applauded the leadership of the local chapter in taking lead for organizing the grassroot swell of support for Shri Narendra Modi and Sri Rajnath Singh for leading Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) to victory in the central elections being held next month. They asked the community to actively compaign for Narendra Modi and BJP win in the elections to give a hope to the nation at this critical juncture. If you want corruption-free India, vote for Modi. If you want to create India of Swami Vivekananda’s dream, vote for Modi. If you need purification of politics, stability and transparency in government, vote for Modi. If you believe in the slogan “Nation First, India First” vote for Modi. If you want peace and tranquility in India, vote for Modi. If you want terrorism to be weeded out from the Indian soil, vote for Modi. If you want to restore dignity to Indians and India vote for Modi. If you want India to be economically prosperous and militarily strong, vote for Modi. If you want eradication of poverty and unemployment, vote for Modi. If you want to control inflation, vote for Modi. If you believe in the unification and consolidation of Indian state, vote for Modi. If you want India to be respected in the comity of nations, vote for Modi. If you believe in “equality for all, appeasement to none”, vote for Modi. The program began with Ganesh Vandna and greetings from Shri Rajesh Shukla, Member, Central Committee of the BJP. All the participants, approximately hundred families, took a pledge to call at least fifty friends or families in India to vote for BJP and elect a government led by Narendra Modi, a harbinger of hope in the dismal scenario of decade-long misgovernance and unprecedented loot. The next round of ‘NaMo Chai pe charcha’ are being hosted by Bhart (Bobby) Kapoor and and Naresh Chavda at Oakville and Brampton in the coming weeks. Shri Vijay Jolly, International Convenor of the OFBJP movement has applauded globalization of NaMo Chai in support of BJP from Hongkong to Lagos to New York.

OFBJP Canada Youva Morcha Launched

The local grass roots movement, like Chakra News led by Abhay Shankar Dubey, and an incereased enthusiasm and awareness among youth in the central elections being held in India, the OFBJP Canada has launched the ‘Yuva Morcha’ headed by Tarun Khanna and Khanjan Patel in Toronto, Ontario. The group is already active at the Facebook and mobilizing support in the community for BJP in support of Narendra Modi and BJP concerning RI and PIO matters. Colonel V K Sharma who has left for India to assis with the elections is co-ordinating on issues concerning PIOs/NRIs. The various issues include: 1. The facility of 'Visa-on-Arrival', similar to all Canadians and others, is provided to persons of Indian origin (PIO), as it is discriminatory towards PIOs; 2. The children of PIOs be granted Indian citizenship, if they seek Indian citizenship; 3. The requirement of those with less than 20 and more than 50 years of age to re-apply for 'Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)' is antithesis to the idea of OCI per se and must be eliminated; 4. The scientific, cultural and academic exchanges with Indian diaspora are promoted. The OFBJP Canada has asked these matters to be included in the election manifesto of the BJP. Dr. Keshav Agnihotri, spokesman of BJP said that support of Indian diaspora for BJP and Narendra Modi would make a significant impact on the elections in India.
