The new Africa Twin ‘Adventure Sports’ marks the 30th anniversary of one of motorcycling’s most celebrated names. Bearing the same tri-colour paint scheme as the 1988 original, the new model is built to go even further on both on-road and off-road adventures.
The Africa Twin ‘Adventure Sports’ comprehensive adventure abilities start with its engine. The four-valve 998cc parallel twin Uni cam engine is extremely compact ensuring top performance in off-road situations as well as on-road, over long-range tours, short commutes and all points in between.
For 2018, the Africa Twin ‘Adventure Sports’ variants also share the extensive updates given to the Africa Twin, like a revised intake system for stronger mid-range response and a revised exhaust contributes to the improved performance.
The entire Africa Twin platform is updated by way of a Throttle By Wire (TBW) system, this opens the door to four individual riding modes and an expanded Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) system with 7 levels+OFF. There are three pre-set riding modes available: TOUR, URBAN,
GRAVEL and a fourth: USER – allows the rider to set and save preferred combination of Power, Engine Braking and HSTC levels. It is possible to switch off the HSTC and there are also 3 levels of Power and Engine Braking available. There are two transmission options available for the Adventure Sports models - The DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission) version features manual mode and two automatic modes. D mode offers the best balance of fuel economy and comfort cruising whilst S mode gives three different, sportier shift patterns to choose from. The DCT is also fully equipped to operate in an
off-road environment with the addition of the G button. Pushing this in any riding mode modifies the control of the clutch system to give a more direct drive. The Manual variant offers a lightweight six-speed gearbox, which uses the same shift-cam design found on the CRF450R to ensure positive changes, and is equipped with an aluminium assist slipper clutch.
The Africa Twin Adventure Sports offers long-distance riders an ultimately elevated adventure touring experience, with a manual or DCT option.

The secret to the CRF1000L Africa Twin’s wide-ranging abilities starts with its engine, a powerplant of premium performance in off-road situations as well as on-road, over long-range tours, short commutes and all points in between. It provides an optimum balance between power, torque, mass and physical dimension.
For 2018, the CRF1000L Africa Twin’s 998cc SOHC 8-valve parallel-twin engine receives a new Throttle By Wire (TBW) system, four riding modes and expanded Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) system with 7 levels+OFF. The
introduction of TBW gives the rider more choice and control to manage engine output, feel and rear wheel traction to suit the riding condition.
Of the four riding modes, three are pre-set: TOUR, URBAN, GRAVEL and the fourth: USER – allows the rider to set and save their preferred combination of Power, Engine Braking and HSTC levels. It is possible to switch off the HSTC and there are 3 levels of Power and Engine Braking available.
The airbox now features a 20mm longer funnel length, matched with redesigned
exhaust internals to significantly boost mid-range response and sound.
The lightweight six speed manual gearbox uses the same shift-cam design as found on the CRF450R to ensure positive changes and is equipped with an aluminium Assist Slipper Clutch.
The CRF1000L Africa Twin manual with ABS is thoroughly equipped for adventure, with a potent engine and dynamic chassis ready to take on Australia on or off-road.

It is unmistakably a race-bred CRF - and looks it - but with the additions and modifications needed to be the road- legal dual-purpose Enduro machine. As such, the CRF450L is a complete package, as happy roosting trails as it is riding on the road.
From the engine to the new exhaust, compared to the CRF450R, the CRF450Ls fuelling and ignition maps are managed by an 02 lambda sensor; compression ratio has been lowered and crank mass increased. The gearbox is a 6-speed, for longer legs on the road and an 18-inch Enduro spec rear wheel has been added.
The plastics are lifted directly from the CRF450R so that famous CRF styling is carried though. All lighting on the
CRF450L is LED, with the front headlight in particular throwing out a penetrating beam. Increased volume for the titanium fuel tank adds range and all the items that make the CRF450L ready to purchase as a licensed, road-going machine; such as speedometer, horn, indicators and mirrors, are standard.
When it’s a Honda, build quality and superior engineering are always a given, but this is where the CRF450L really stands out; it is designed to go 32,000km between major strip downs! From the trail rider’s perspective, that’s all you want and need - something that is beyond reliable and expected of a new Honda Enduro machine. The CRF450L raises the bar in all areas.
The CRF450L is Honda’s new road legal, race derived Enduro machine that will take anything you throw at it, featuring a low maintenance, tough as they come 449cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder engine with PGM-FI. We are ready for ‘Absolute Freedom,’ from the road to the trail - the CRF450L is here!

This race rally replica has long travel suspension, large-disc ABS brakes and excellent weather protection from the CRF450 RALLY-inspired bodywork, making it an ideal entry into adventure touring.
The CRF250 RALLY’s 250cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder DOHC engine’s performance is focused on bottom-end torque and high rpm power, plus a linear delivery.
The PGM-FI feeds the fuel/air mixture through a 38mm throttle body and draws air from the airbox via a direct connecting tube. The exhaust muffler has a diameter of 115mm, houses the catalyser and uses two chambers. A large-bore downpipe helps the engine breathe and make more power.
The CRF250 RALLY uses the CRF250L as its base, adding
a ‘floating’ screen, fairing and radiator shrouds for wind protection. The asymmetric headlights are LED, as are the indicators.
A large fuel tank allows extensive range and the digital dash includes a fuel gauge and tachometer.
High ground clearance enhance its long-distance off-road ability and a larger floating front disc – plus ABS
that can be switched off for the rear brake – delivers the stopping power.
Stylish black Alumite aluminium rims (21-inch front/18 rear) mark the CRF250 RALLY out and wear block pattern enduro-style tyres.
The CRF250 RALLY is ready for weekend adventure, long distance touring or the daily commute.
