Dear Friends, Today let us reflect on the unfathomable ways and love of God. God’s love is incalculable by any human standard and might even look foolish going by our human understanding. Yet, it does not in any way diminish its efficacy. Therefore the Church invites us to emulate this love. The action we see in the gospel, is simply the justice of God. His justice is governed by his generosity and unconditional love

for all. His action towards the last group of workers shows that he is not acting in accordance with strict justice, or economics.

Rather, he is motivated by love and generosity towards all that respond to his invitation. He has extended the same unmerited invitation to all of us. To all, he will pay the same wage because his love is unconditional. His reward does not depend on when he called anyone, but on his generous, and unimaginable love for all. Hence let us respond positively to his invitation.

THIS WEEK’S MASSES & EVENTS

OUR CALL TO STEWARDSHIP

“So the last will be first and the first last.” -Matthew20:16

You’ve hear the saying, “it’s not where you start, but how you finish.” The certainly applies to today’s Bible passage. We have a responsibility not for our own lives, but for the lives of others as well. We are called to generously share our gifts with others, not hoard them for our own use. Our gratitude and generosity helps us live “God centered” lives and not, “self centered” lives.

Please pray for our sick: Bernie Wiegel, Glenn Garvey, Dale Symons, Joyce Von Rueden, Rita Marty, Heidi Brunkow Moran, Paul O’Brien, Jerry Nethery, Jean Stopper, Adler Roelli, Bob Quinn, Tammy Pratt Kingman, Kathy Mueller, Virginia Larson, Tom Corley, Rosalie May, Barbara Feiner
