Wealth was measured by cows in those times People in search of God will always feel pleasant. Sri N. Swamiji with devotees performing Upakarma HARI OM The month of August started with Balaji Abhishekam helped by Manoj Kumar, Vittala dasa, Krishna and Rajesh Kamath. The temple performed Rigveda and Yajur Upakarama for the devotees in the morning. This is the annual change of the sacred thread for the Brahmins. In the evening, the monthly Sri Satyanarayana Puja was performed on Raksha Bandhan day. The puja was performed for the protection of the family from the dangers of the world. In this world, there are people who pretend to be good but have a lot of negative energy within them. Raksha Bandhan is performed to remove the negative force and protect people protect from people with negative energy. Aradhana was performed in honor of Sri Raghavendra Swami. This puja is performed annually. Many devotees came and N. Swamiji expressed about Raghavendra Swami. Raghavendra Swami was married to Sri Gopambha. Both of them came from Vedic family. He renounced his family life and was initiated as Raghavendra. He had many miracles but he never expressed them to the public. People found out about these miracles themselves and started following him. He had darshan of Pachamukhi Hanuman. Later he took Jeeva Samadhi at Mantralaya in Andhra Pradesh. Even today, people follow him and fast on Thursday. People who don’t have kids seek his blessings. On the aradhana day, Swami Parmananda who came from Haridhawar gave a discourse on the daily life. How to cultivate through the work and worship in the daily business schedules? Singing his name, reading holy books and visiting temples, one can reach God. N. Swamiji expressed it is a beautiful day for Swamiji to come. He came like Raghavendra Swami and showed that he is within him. The celebrations concluded with Mahaprasadam. Swami Parmananda gave a discourse the following day also. The monthly Sankashta Chathurthi Ganesha Abhisekham was performed. Sri Krishna Janmasthami was celebrated with lots of devotees. Devotees sang kirtans and bhajans starting in the evening till the mid-night hour. Devotees sang Govinda namas and Krishna bhajans. A jhula (cradle) was decorated by the temple. The birth of Sri Krishna was enacted by placing baby Sharma along with the murti of Balgopala in the cradle at mid- night. Aarti and puja was offered in praise of the Lord. Ekadasi Rudraabhishekam was performed by Krishna and his friends.The Rudram and Chamakam were recited eleven times and the temple was echoing the mantras vibrations which filled the hearts of all the devotees. Ganesh Chathurthi was celebrated. This is the third year since our Ganesha murthi arrived and installed on his birthday. It is a joy to celebrating along with the temple devotees the birth of Ganesha who is the remover of all Obstacles and sufferings of his devotees. All day along, devotees came to see him and seek his blessings. The monthly SundarKand Ramayana and 108 times Hanuman Chalisa were performed by Mohindra and Vijaya Sethi, Pushpa Dhar and devotees. Many people brought Vadamalas and Tulsi mala and garlands to offer to Hanumanji. Hanumanji was radiating through the decorations. --Balaji Temple board
